RE: The Spin Room Gallup Poll
You're correct kaplony. I was wrong. A majority do not think it is a net improvement. A clear plurality think it is a net improvement.

The fact that you are harping over such a subtle difference shows just how petty and asinine some of the e-gang'ers are over the changes.

El oh el

Plurality is one of those words that people use when they want to say "We weren't right but it doesn't mean we were wrong"

Remember that the expectations of this poll that were set by you were this:

Quote:I suspect the majority of posters consider the new Spin Room a net improvement.

Can't seem to find a plurality in that statement.

But again I don't expect you to admit that you are wrong. It's not like you have ever admitted you were wrong before on here.

Create whatever reality distortion field you want to make you feel better than 2 out of 3 people don't view the changes as some world collapsing negative like you do.

I'm not the one creating anything. My vote is available if you click above. I don't see any difference whatsoever.

But the facts are I wasn't the one who falsely claimed that the majority of the people polled would see an improvement. That would be you, and no matter how you try to spin the results when the majority of people see either no change or worse change (which BTW means no improvement) then you can't claim the poll as a victory unless you have a serious disconnect with reality.

I have seen this movie before. you post a poll, hoping to reinforce whatever thing you want to do. the results come back strongly negative. you then do whatever the phuck you wanted to do in the first place

mark my words.

if 2 out of 3 people HATED the thing you were proposing, you would still do it.

We agree to disagree. The largest group is positive. Push/negative are about even. Positive is larger than negative. If you assign weighted values the end weight is positive. Your major hangup is that improvement isn't 50%+1 (a majority). It is only a few percentage points off from that. It would be 49% positive, 49% push, 1% negative ... and you'd still gripe. Because you're looking for a reason to gripe. Might I direct you to the ACC commissioner's office for more substantive material to gripe over.

You didn't bother reading the post accompanying the poll did you? But go on -- keep your invented narrative going.

Yea, I post polls all the time where the outcome is already decided ... I mean, that's why I sought feedback in the first place right? *roll eyes*

Poll is extremely clear. Not what gts expected by his own words.
Wrong and dishonest. Not that either aren't known already.

Doesn't matter. He can read and post Reason all day long and read others private messages and sees no mother ******* disconnect.

Just another clown who has a life philosophy he wishes others would adhere to while placing himself among the ruling elite where his own rules don't apply to himself. Ayn Rand named these people.

And telling people to just leave if they can't CONFORM is really getting tiring. Try absorbing some of your favorite magazine.

Expose Islam... you're a hater.
Expose gay agenda... you're a hater.
Expose liberalism... you're a hater.
Expose thugs... you're a hater.
Expose Opiecare... you're a hater.
Expose cop killers... you're a hater.
Expose gts... you're a hater.

I suspect the majority of posters consider the new Spin Room a net improvement. Let's find out:
Net improvement 41.67
Not 58.33

But hey, let's just further change the question and add in after the vote "plurality". LOLOLOL.

It was a simple question asked. Do you think the spin room has improved since the changes. Yes or No.
2 choices. Then 5 choices were created for the actual vote. Then 3 categories for the results. GTFOOH.

Anyone else see a future in polling for gts?

already have. I've posted twice since football season ended.

keep phukking the place up. this was actually a worthwhile little political forum before you "fixed it".

before it's all over with, you'll screw yourself out of this job, too.

What about those who've left because it's gotten worse? Their leaving is a vote in the negatory. And let's not forget those who can't vote because they are on "vacation".

Even that bogus "plurality" would be gone.

Let's be real for a minute here. Okla came with a host of objections from other mods (non-Spin Room past/present) who knew him from the ESPN boards. But I don't ban people for what they do elsewhere. Okla got several bans even on the nearly unmoderated version of the Spin Room you guys opine for. I think Okla and a few of similar ilk would have been eventually given the permanent exile. Several already were long ago.

Keeping it real: do you (and a few others on both sides, you YOU in particular specifically) think you'll achieve reform in your desired direction by just incessantly whining about it? If you have some recommendations, by all means, send me a PM and I'd be happy to discuss it. But at this point several of ya'll are doing little more than b*tch incessantly. As much whining as Mach ever thought about doing -- and that is a high bar to clear.

Outside of Fits nonsense, I enjoy it here. Don't post as much while I focus on work and building relationships with new friends and my family while I still can, but I do on the occasion.
