Rep. Donna Edwards (Dem): Wealth Needs To Be Spread More In Baltimore
This is Democratic failure in a nutshell. Democrats have been in charge for 50 years in Baltimore, but somehow it’s Republicans fault.
Third highest spending on public schools and still lousy, but ‘uneven distribution’ is the cause, according to Rep. Edwards. So ask the Democrats in charge, what are they doing with the money?

RE: Rep. Donna Edwards (Dem): Wealth Needs To Be Spread More In Baltimore
CNN had some White Liberal radio show host whom yesterday was on MSNBC ragging on White Privilege. Today He was saying Here is the Real Baltimore. Less than 20% have voted. He said there is a major push to register Them to vote in the Fall. Whom will They vote out? The Black Leadership in Baltimore ? Probably will blame George Bush.

Wealth needs to be spread more by there being more of it. Simple redistribution isn't going to make drug dealing less attractive. It's not going to make being a generally law abiding citizen more attractive. The problems there are deeper than liberal/conservative or simply rich/poor.
As I've said before, there are good people there but, in many situations, they are more or less powerless in the bad parts of the city. Those are the people who need to be empowered.

Wait a minute...The video cites a figure of 21% unemployment in Freddy Gray's neighborhood, a hop, skip and jump from DC. The narrative out of the White House is that "times are good, the trillions printed and given away in wealth redistribution is working, people are better off because of the Democratic policies of the last 6 years, etc..."
So if all that is true, what gives? These economic and social policies were all crafted and implemented for years to help the very people protesting in Baltimore. After 6 years liberal policies haven't tricked down to them? Really? Exactly how long and how many more trillions of dollars that a bankrupt America doesn't have is it supposed to take?
Don't have to listen to any more to stop right there and realize that maybe the problem is that democratic social policies make things worse for the very people they were supposed to help.
RE: Rep. Donna Edwards (Dem): Wealth Needs To Be Spread More In Baltimore
This is just another in a long line of liberal fools that spews income redistribution when the real answer all along is jobs that aren't of the fast food, retail variety. Then, out of the other side of their mouths they rail of business and the need to take more from them.
Make your city more attractive for a business to set-up shop there that elsewhere (including overseas) and you might see more in your city employed. What a concept! Unfortunately, that doesn't fit the politics of division and envy.
RE: Rep. Donna Edwards (Dem): Wealth Needs To Be Spread More In Baltimore
Dear Rep. Donna Edwards.
Please note that if you feel there isn't enough money for the poor in Baltimore, or for the government, or for the inner city growth policies you desire, you can pay more!
Please ensure your checks indicate "to support the Federal Government" in the memo field. Bureau of the Public Debt Department G P.O. Box 2188 Parkersburg, West Virginia 26106-2188
Plus, don't forget to file a simple 1040 and put the amount of your income, the amount of tax your owe, compute the difference, and pay at your full rate.

Do you really believe the US is anywhere near a meritocracy?
I do. Do you believe that you've earned your money?
If I can be honest, I think you just believe that because your ideology tells you to. We all know people whose relative success had little else to do with them being born to the right parents, and that's well supported by data.
