Totally agree on the game being unwatchable and the officiating being horrendous. It's gone from maybe my favorite sport growing up to one of my least favorite. Just horrible what has happened to that game.

Agree 100%...and shortening the shot clock is not the answer.

In theory, it should speed up the tempo of the game, more possessions equal more scoring.
It's not as though teams are holding the ball or being overly deliberate now. They're having difficulty getting good shots with the clock as is. Shortening the clock will make it worse.

Shortening the clock will increase the number of possessions however they need to push back the 3 point line and widen the lane to create more space. There is more space in the NBA game then the College game.
