RE: Dr. Rudd tweet re Calipari's Memphis "little table" comment
Are Calipari's comments really that offending or shocking? Our own fans state all the reasons why we can't hire so-and-so big name coach or why we shouldn't expect to make the Sweet 16 every year.

The 'little kids table' mindset is really pretty prevalent in a good portion of the fan base.

Right --- Emory is about as good as it gets academically. Sounds like Rudd is thinking like a University president --

Good...then he'll let other people deal with the heavy lifting on the athletic side because he doesn't have a clue on that end.

Unlike Dr. Raines, he at least respects its place at the University.

He had enough of a clue to be in tune with something Cal said. We have had some presidents who couldn't name a coach at another university.

No. You can't be in the top 20 in attendance AND think this way.

maybe one out of every fifty posters on this board would come close too being able to get into emory.

What's Emory got to do with Big Boy Basketball?

it's one of the top universities in the nation

apparently people here don't think UofM is

shocking, no. offensive, yes. Truth is he wouldn't have made the Hall (anytime soon) WITHOUT UMass & Memphis, and he ties to pretend we held him back.

So why do a bunch of university presidents need to travel to Panama to have a summit? I'm sure they could find a conference room here in the USA big enough to host the meeting. Who paid for the trip? With all the talk about money being tight and all, seems like an excuse for them to take a really nice vacation to an exotic location at the expense of someone else.

Dr. Rudd mentioned Georgia as well. Is that "big boy" enough for those who are ridiculing Emory?

Don't know why anyone would not care for Rudd. He was hand picked by our interim president and was far and away the favorite of our faculty from the list of finalists.

For those who care to look, his academic background is pretty impressive as well as his accomplishments in leadership positions at previous positions.

Also - seems to be proud to be a Tiger, based on previous tweets.
