Yeah right. I hold my Memphis State Diploma up when I hold a staff meeting with several Emory grad underlings.

For those who care to look, his academic background is pretty impressive as well as his accomplishments in leadership positions at previous positions.

Also - seems to be proud to be a Tiger, based on previous tweets.

I agree 100 percent.

Exactly. The the main difference is that the Emory kids can point out that they're undefeated in football every year.

I was accepted at Emory, but chose Memphis, It was the right choice for me. FACT.

Cause the UK grads couldn't find the office.

Because we hire people based on who they are, what they have accomplished and how they will fill a role on our team. The institution name on the sheepskin means little after a few years into an industry.

In Panama for a summit with several U.S. univ. presidents, Georgia, Emory et al. Pretty sure I've got a seat at the big table for this one.

04-cheers

Not much of a Rudd fan here. I do like the quote though.
Care to elaborate? Everyone I know is thrilled with the job Rudd is doing.

Your last comment is incorrect. He actually came in third, if not fourth, out of the 4 finalists, if memory serves.

That might be high. Might be closer to 1 out of 100.

My LSAT score would have been good enough to get into Emory law school, but my GPA from Memphis State would have kept me out.

Unless my memory has failed in this instance, I am correct. If I am wrong, show me where you got your info and,if it is from a legitimate source, I will stand corrected.

He wasn't the faculty top choice and he has pissed off a bunch of them with some decisions.

I like Him more now than I did when he was hired. He understands the economics of education have changed and a faculty that doesn't understand that will die a slow death.

His comment to me in a meeting was lots of people bring me problems, you brought me solutions. That's all I ask for.

He is smart, personable, proactive and hard-nosed enough to make tough decisions in a tough environment.

No. You can't be in the top 20 in attendance AND think this way.
