Hopefully, it's only "helped write papers" and not "wrote papers".

Anything involving BBQs and Tutoring are automatic NCAA warning signs

Unless someone in the AD knew about this and promoted this (even if via a booster) and the tutor was doing work for them, I'm not sure how it could cause any trouble.

That said, it seems too many players knew about this tutor.

If she is charging the general public for her tutoring services and not the players, that may be an NCAA violation

The big issue is going to whether she actually did the work. Arkansas under Nolan Richardson cheated big time like that. They got busted.

so we possibly skirted the NCAA rules and still sucked for 6 years.

But if the AD truly didn't know about it, it'd only be an individual violation, not institutional.

Apparently, she worked with the Memphis Athletics and Academics Combine in January at Ridgeway, where many of the areas's top AAU B-Ball prospects, including the Lawson Brothers, attended. According to this article she is an academic advisor to many tigers players over the years.
