RE: STR - Cal to the NBA (again)
Cal’s current system won’t work in the NBA. His WWW pipeline and 1-&-done college prosperity cannot compete with the NBA dollars because good teams with big money backs them.

Unless there is a NCAA investigation at UK Cal isn’t leaving. Way too many good coaches for him to succeed in the NBA and this he knows.

lol. I don't think Cal knows that he can't succeed in the NBA, though. He probably thinks if he had the right situation and the 'right' players, he could wing it.

Yep. Calipari needs overwhelming talent to win. Tom Izzo gets the more out of his players than any high D1 coach. He might be a good NBA coach but not Calipari.

I think it would be quite entertaining to watch him talk to a pro like he does college players. How long would it take for one to punch his face in after a couple of "what the %#**!!! are you doing?" or the classic "you're a effing p***y" rant on the sideline?

FWIW, I think Cal would do fine in the right NBA situation.

Lebron, Kyrie, Love (if he re-signs) ...

They will have a great class coming in next year and it will be interesting to see who stays….. Ulis, Poythrees, at least one of their current centers like Marcus Lee, along with another group of top 10 players.

If they win this year and go 6-0 next year, they will have I believe the #3 winning streak in CBB history? Maybe Cal will want to try to break the 88 game streak.

I have my doubts, but it is Kentucky ...

It is a crap shoot...

Cal was a lucky hire for them...You could see he was a mercenary and that he had the recruiting thing going.

I just don't see anyone else that fits that bill for them and I am not aware of any UK alumns that are proven.

He has had 3 jobs. He was at the first for 8 years, the second for 9 years and has been at the third for 5 years and counting. Quite the opposite of a mercenary.

He has had 4 HC jobs.

If Skal is the player they think he is they don't need any money from colleges. If he is a top notch player he will be lottery with John and UK. Cal has a proven track record with this.

Yeah, because none of the players on UK's roster was worth a crap until Cal got ahold of them. You do realize if the rules from several years ago were still in place, most of UK's roster would have been drafted right out of high school?

I think a few years back there was another fan base that wore a lot of blue who were saying that about Cal as well.

I think your sarcasm meter is broken. Nobody, and I mean nobody, thinks he went there just for the coaching. There's a reason Calipari's theme song is 'Money Talks'...come on, come on, love me for the money.
