That's called a massive recession that kills tax receipts and forces people onto food stamps and other programs. Since inheriting Bush's mess Obama has since reduced the deficit every year he's been in office.

Obama complains about white midwesterners 'clinging to their gun and religion'; downplays ISIS as JV team while the quite literally cling to their guns and religion.

Obama proclaims Obamacare law of the land, unilaterally delays part of law and ignores other longstanding immigration laws.

Cruz is following a law he says is unconstitutional. Plus he could go without it or get a non compliant plan, or have his wife get a plan to cover him again. But you know those Canadians; they love their government healthcare!

Well here's an irony: that particular provision was actually inserted at the behest of a Republican, Chuck Grassley. So he could grandstand about how Congress was exempting itself from this turrrible law. Dems laughed and said sure, that's a great idea!

Congress must use the exchanges huh? Then explain why is Cruz, who has been a US senator since January 2013, just now signing up for it?

Regardless, this will be fun to watch play out in the GOP primaries.

You give a lot of credit to a single senator that was in the minority party for shutting down the government. Fact of the matter is Obama, Harry Ried, and Boehner shut down the government by twiddling their thumbs until the last minute and then trying to rahm through a budget that didn't have a snowball's chance of getting through the House. And as I recall, the GOP won the ensuing election in a landslide.

If that's what the law says why is Cruz only now signing up for the law after 2 years in the Senate? And why is he concerned about following the letter of a law he believes is unconstitutional?
