Butler series?
Heard this early this morning through my brother (a big Butler fan):

@GreggDoyelStar: Butler AD Barry Collier told me BU and Cincinnati are arranging a home-and-home that would begin next season at UC, 2016-17 at Hinkle

If this happens, it's a great series.

RE: Butler series?
That would be good. Have to upgrade the OOC schedule since we no longer have BE to fall back on.

RE: Butler series?
Makes plenty of sense for both schools. Short travel for a quality non-conference game.

Bearcats played the 23rd best nonconference SOS according to the RPI. If UC continues to schedule like they did this year they will be fine. Butler is a quality opponent that makes sense, I agree with that.

RE: Butler series?
Cats still need at least two more quality home games. I still wish UC would schedule Dayton, having at least UD or Xavier on the home schedule each season would probably help with ticket sales. Long term the UC-Louisville series needs to start again but I wonder how much the relationship between the coaches comes into play. Another series I wish UC would look into would be Marquette, old rival that usually has a good team.

Regional games that give you quality non-conference opponents while cutting travel costs are always a plus IMO.

RE: Butler series?
So we have Butler and probably Michigan at home. Go to Xavier and VCU and have neutral games against two of these three; Tennessee, Nebraska and George Washington. I wonder if we'll add one more key OOC game? As of right now that'll most likely be a top 25 OOC schedule.
