Can we please schedule better for now on???
There is no reason why schools can schedule better? If you cant get schools to come to your home court then just go on the road.

Scheduling is definitely important, so I agree with you on that point. But, at the risk of stating the obvious, you have to win those games against the top 200 RPI, as well, and MOST of those will be on the road. That's just the reality.
Major conferences get pretty good RPI points when scheduling and beating our top tier at their place. But to break that mold and actually get to a two-three bid league, we have to start winning those games and stop losing inside the conference to those you shouldn't lose to. The formula is actually pretty simple. We just don't play it very well, so far.
But our conference is built with quality schools that CAN develop the basketball side of the house. WE just need to do it. It wouldn't hurt for our bottom tier teams to pick up their games at bit either (yeah, I meant to include Marshall in that group.)

The league needs to use reasonable data to have the top teams play each other twice, and have the bad teams play each other twice. ODU having to play Rice, North Texas, and Marshall twice did us zero favors.
The league needs to either go back to 16 games, enforce real out of conference strength, or a combination of both. Reducing the tournament to 8 teams isn't a bad idea either.
