Congrats to WKU for winning the tourney and to USM for making a heck of a challenge for the title.

I think WKU gets a 9/10 seed in the NCAA. The RPI ranking of 30 would lead to a prediction of a 7 or 8 seed. But the selection committee can create an argument for however they want to place teams. For the Lady Toppers, it will be: 0 wins against top-50 RPI, the BAD loss to UTSA and the string of close games in the tournament. I think Creme's prediction of a 10 seed in Knoxville is a very real possibility.

The WNIT bids and matchups will be fun. USM and MT are locks for the WNIT. MT will host for as long as they want to pay money. It's up to the USM powers that be if they want to cough up the money to host. Their poorer fan support may give them pause as they likely wouldn't make the money back in ticket/concession sales.

I still think La Tech and ODU get bids as well. The committee has to want those two names in their tournament. While the RPIs are right on the line, their records and fan support should put them over the top on getting bids.

Thought we had it won when our point guard weaved her way under the goal for a layup.....just wasn't meant to be I guess..
