I do, however, think Lee or Green need to come off the bench. Tony needs to start. We don't want the opposing team's star getting easy baskets in the 1st before Tony can come into the game.

There's no way Grizz can be 3rd seed. Seeds 1-3 go to the division winners. Grizz will be the 2nd or 4th seed, not 3rd.

If a division 2nd place team has a better record than a different division winner, that team is seeded higher than the division winner. The lowest a division winner can be seeded is 4th.

When did they change the seeding rules? Is it from this season?

The change actually goes back to the 2005-06 season and we were involved. At the time the 3 division winners were seeded 1-3. That year coming down the stretch we were in a battle with the Clippers for the 5 seed. The next to the last game of the season the Grizz were 1 up on the Clippers who came to Memphis for a game. A Clippers win would have tied them with us but they had the tiebreaker that year. Long story short, we beat the Clippers reserves which gave us the 5 seed and a first round matchup with 60 win #4 seed Dallas, who finished 2nd in the division behind the 63 win Spurs. The Clips who slipped to 6 got the 44 win #3 seed Denver Nuggets. The Clips also got home court with the better record even though they had the lower seed. The rule was changed before the next season.
