We have a good heritage in basketball. But it is not as some want to make it out to be. So let's keep our expectations in check when it comes to the future and where our program is.

I’m not looking back at Cal’s run like it is the norm.

But as for heritage I do see better facilities, better promotions, higher ranked players (on average), better corporate support, better conference, better media coverage, and a higher paid coach at $2.65mil. So since the program is overall better than our normal heritage years why as a fan should I keep my expectations in check?

Sorry I don’t accept what you are saying. Apparently some do but not me.

RE: Can you name
That above rant does not even make any sense.

Good grief man...educate. Embarrassing for a Memphis grad to write that way.

The inference was we were not competitive. We have been...even more than that the previous several years although short if elite and Sweet 16. I have agreed that is unfortunate and a little under performing but not to the degree that some, especially the mockers, attackers and high five seekers would indicate.

Nothing will change my mind that it is acceptable to mock our own, in the same snarky assault style that would be adopted by a fan of another school. Such behavior seems odd..even while reasoned constructive criticism does not.

It makes the bullies feel better to come up with these weird attack lines, as though recognizing some issues but refusing to mock is worthy of such scorn. That level of communication is expected, they are younger, more ignorant, and more needing of approval from their peers.

We have been good. Nearly elite...but short. Over reactions are expected, still embarrassing.

But we get what we get. There is one faction. Memphis. Neely everyone is critical at times. Not everyone makes fun of or mocks. Your choice. But when you mock, no whining when commented upon, that mealy whiney trend is somewhat hilarious though and yes, a prime example of how bullies behave. Tough, get slapped, whine.

Congratulations. You did it.
Ignored...again, out of boredom.
