Even if we didn't win that game last night, I would have given the entire team a big thumbs up. They showed tremendous heart and toughness. There were several times in the game they could have justified giving up but didn't. Great win. It took a lot of character winning in that building last night.

Team has played with great effort before...several times this year...even in losses. Nichols did go down for the entire second half against Tulsa and the team played tough. For some moments they did not play great, and Tulsa hit a few covered threes and got the win, but our kids played tough.

Played tough at home against SMU, after losing Crawford for the whole second half and having Kedren foul out for basically the entire second half. Did not always play great, but played with great effort. Pookie was out of that game too. Eventually a very good SMU team pulled awa very late bit it was a tough effort.

Team played tough after losing Nichols against Temple. For a few minutes right after he got hurt, Temple took advantage and scored eight quick points. Our kids settled and battled very well after that, losing on a buzzer beater.

Some efforts this year were not stellar. Tulane and SFA at home for sure. Even the road ECU game, once ECU got hot our kids looked like they lost a step. Were outmanned earlier this year with Wichita State and Baylor but the difficult guard play early has changed quite a bit. There essentially was no Kedren at that point...and Crawford has really elevated his game.

Last year saw several games where Memphis was down in the second half against really good teams, and came back...tough...to win. Louise twice, Gonzaga and more.

Team is not elite this year. Team is susceptible to losing handily to Cindy. But nearly every team in the country has a down year, and our down year, 18-12 right now, has seen the development and experience gaining of quite a few players. It seems that by any realistic assessment, these same kids, with the Lawsons being added...will be much better and a munch tougher out for the entire year next year. Especially if we can better avoid injuries.

Burrell, Woodson, Pookie and Kedren looked lost many times early this year. While at times they are not elite players now, they no longer look lost.

Some more games, and while sights are never lowered from a national championship and a deep NCAA run, THIS year, right now, should our kids not win the AAC tourney, I am glad last night probably earned us the NIT. Try not to molest that generic comment.

Only someone who is completely butt hurt would whine about a fan giving more credit to the players than the coach. I totally resent you insinuating I’m butt hurt because we won. You are a prime example of a fan that places the wellbeing of the coach ahead of the players and the program.

This probably says it best. No, UConn is not what they were in previous years. A shell of themselves at times, in fact. But hey, no one gave the Tigers a shot to win last night, as everything was stacked against them. They played with pride and passion, and probably are getting tired of hearing this team is a one trick pony.
