MAC Football Schedule
According to the MAC board, the 2015 football schedule will be released at 3:00 pm--I assume that is ET.

RE: MAC Football Schedule
Home games vs EMU, Ball St, WMU and Ohio

I will guess that we will play WMU on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and Ohio 2-3 weeks before that on Wednesday. I will also guess that Ball St will be our homecomming game.

We really need 4 Saturday home games...and not 3 straight home games!

RE: MAC Football Schedule
Nothing really too surprising in there. Two of the last three games being crossover games could create an interesting dynamic.

RE: MAC Football Schedule
Much better than last year at least, it never will be a good schedule with the ESPN deal in place, but not bad under the circumstances.

RE: MAC Football Schedule
Gotta give Frazier credit. They'd had the OSU game scheduled, but the addition of BC really added some "umph" to this coming year. Well done.

RE: MAC Football Schedule
To me the question is does Frazier make the Homecoming game for Ball St vs a "rival" or EMU for the later game and risk the weather?

To me EMU has been closer than the games should have been so we could use a bit of extra fans in the stands for that game.

RE: MAC Football Schedule
The only thing that worries me about the schedule is having CMU away right after a brutally tough 2 game road stretch of #1 Ohio State and what should be a very good BC team.

It'll be 10/10. 10/24 too late.

Ideally would prefer being home 10/3 & 10/17.
OSU then BC on the road would be nice to get back home. Instead we travel to CMU on 10/3. Ouch.

RE: MAC Football Schedule
Here are our November MACtion TV opportunities and what we are going up against for the better coverage.

Nov. 3 – Tuesday
*NIU at Toledo - ESPN2 (Only MAC game on as this game deserves)

Nov. 11 – Wednesday
*Bowling Green at Western Michigan - ESPN2/U
*NIU at Buffalo - ESPN2/U

Nov. 18 – Wednesday
*Central Michigan at Kent State - ESPN2/U/3.com
*Western Michigan at NIU - ESPN2/U/3.com (Both NIU and WMU would have to have a bad season for this game not to get the better coverage)

Nov. 24 – Tuesday
*Bowling Green at Ball State - ESPN2/U
*Ohio at NIU - ESPN2/U (Both NIU and Ohio would have to have a bad season for this game not to get the better coverage)

Lots of schools are moving their Homecoming game later in the season to keep interest. There was a study (not NIU related) suggesting that the interest in a team drops off after the Homecoming game...I have no idea why.

RE: MAC Football Schedule
So, we have 2 midweek home games in winter again. Nice!

Since for some reason or another, I always seem to miss an early season game (this year it's another wedding), I will be strongly reconsidering having season tickets after this year. I will not be reducing my HAF donation. I would just re-channel everything to basketball.

I'm just too old to sit outside at night in winter with wind chills in the teens - and then try to go to work the next day. I can sit inside in my nice warm living room at watch the game on TV (or computer if it's not televised).

RE: MAC Football Schedule
Barring something unforseen, the WMU game is pretty much a lock for ESPN2. Buffalo likely ESPNU, and the Ohio game could go either way.
