Akron has 3 Saturday games and the Friday after Thanksgiving in November. Must be nice!

Ohio gets consistently good TV ratings for a MAC team. They are easily one of the top 4 teams and with us being the #1 or #2 MAC TV team for the past several years I would have to think that we would get the better coverage of the night...as long as we both don't stink.
Though with the Thursday night games now this will cause a spreading out of the 11 ESPN2/U slots.

To me EMU has been closer than the games should have been so we could use a bit of extra fans in the stands for that game.
It'll be 10/10. 10/24 too late.
Ideally would prefer being home 10/3 & 10/17.
OSU then BC on the road would be nice to get back home. Instead we travel to CMU on 10/3. Ouch.
Lots of schools are moving their Homecoming game later in the season to keep interest. There was a study (not NIU related) suggesting that the interest in a team drops off after the Homecoming game...I have no idea why.
Actually that's an excellent point. Homecoming is often like those that only go to church on Easter & Christmas.
10/10 should draw a nice crowd by itself...Typically great weather (except in DeKalb of course.) and it's first conference game.
10/24 could use a boost and Homecoming might be it.
SF is the kind of guy who might not go with the norm.
(Fun Fact....Illinois' was 10/25 last year.)

Since for some reason or another, I always seem to miss an early season game (this year it's another wedding), I will be strongly reconsidering having season tickets after this year. I will not be reducing my HAF donation. I would just re-channel everything to basketball.
I'm just too old to sit outside at night in winter with wind chills in the teens - and then try to go to work the next day. I can sit inside in my nice warm living room at watch the game on TV (or computer if it's not televised).
Well if rumors hold true, maybe you can travel to florida or a more suitable environment for Saturday night games =)

i think after several years of week night games, have to come to grips that this is the deal. The cocahes are ok with it because that see an impact on recruiting. It would be nice to not see any more discussion on the merits of weekday games. Just accept it as part of the schedule.

Just wondering what your perspective is if we had the East side club this year? If you could watch the game from inside in the club or under heaters in a lodge booth would that change your mood?

Quite a bit. I have a health condition where I cannot take being out in cold weather at night. I can tolerate it during the day, but not at night.

Hell im sure if students had someplace to duck into for a bit to get warmer youd have higher attendance on that principle alone. Also we need a beer garden or party deck, make it happen master plan!

The club is for high level donors, not for students. I doubt the South Bowl will be any more sheltered than the east stand concourse is now.
Also I would doubt that the Student section would ever have access to beer.

Yeah i should've clarified what i was implying. Most of my friends are alumni and as the remaining student (with quite a bit of my masters left to go, mind you) they always come up to stay with me and relive their college days. So i consider myself a not-quite-recently graduated alumni haha. Or so my friend coined his term for my situation

Yup I was in the same situation and stayed for 2 more years after my friends since I had an offer to get a just about free MS. So they came every once in a while and liked some of the good old days stuff but also liked to have some nicer things.

Well, with my 4 tickets, I can afford the current Sky Box prices but not the projected $2,000 to $2,500 per seat donation for the new one (if that's what it turns out to be).

Maybe 3 in a row for conference games. Having 2 non-conference away games to end our OOC play is on us.
