Smart guy,
Bearcats Nation,
I’ve never been prouder to be a Bearcat.
If you were one of the 13,176 in the stands at Fifth Third Arena for the Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout or one of the millions watching the game on ESPN2 worldwide, you know what I mean.
From the students who lined up in the freezing cold hours before the gates opened to the last person out of the gym Wednesday night, the Bearcats Nation showed its true colors and represented our University with the highest level of class and competitiveness.
While the final result on the scoreboard is not what we wanted, I couldn’t be prouder of our team. They fought back from a 12-point deficit and took a lead into the final seconds of the game. They have you to thank.
It was you leading Down the Drive. It was you sending the U-C chant all across our packed and loud arena. It was you blowing the roof off the building when Gary Clark sank a jumper with just over a minute left. It was you saluting Troy Caupain when he knocked down a pair of free throws to give us a lead in the last minute.
Wednesday was my first Crosstown Shootout and it lived up to its billing and then some. Our students, donors, sponsors and fans were loud and proud all night long, creating one of the best gameday environments I’ve ever been a part of.
You are the engine that makes us go, that makes us bleed red and black. You are our sixth man, our home court advantage.
We urge you to continue supporting our Bearcats down a critical stretch run as our team battles for a top seed in the American Athletic Conference Tournament and a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
UC has a pair of home games remaining, against UCF on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, March 8 against Memphis at noon.
It would be a great salute to the hard work of our team to see Fifth Third Arena packed for both games. I look forward to seeing you in the stands.
My thanks and admiration for your continued support.
Go Bearcats!
- Mike

Yeah that was big time last night .we fell 2 short on the scoreboard but easily one of the most electric atmospheres I've been to.
From the Pregame student section mega banner and Bearcat propelling from the ceiling to the exciting final minutes ...it was fun.
Great letter from Bohn.

Smart. He understands the clientele is getting a little squirrelly on multiple fronts. He hears it, too.

He seemed like a smart guy when I met him in Dayton. Not nearly as social as Ono, but I had a sense of real intelligence listening to him speak. Plus he was nice enough to talk with me as we walked out together.

Apparently has all the qualities needed in a first rate AD. Next question, how long will he be here?

Its really hard for me to even visit this site right now. Whenever we lose, I try to avoid the board for a couple days to a week. I already have a very fragile psyche towards UC's current situation, the doom and gloom only make it worse.

I appreciate that the AD is on top of things and knows when we are ready to jump off the ledge... Makes me feel that he is in this with us...

You know, I had the total opposite view... I thought Bohn was much more personable and easy to talk to. He's a huge sports fan that's for sure.
Every time I've ever talked to Ono it has been awkward. He's cut me off and started talking to someone else. I'm sure he's very social around presidents and whoever, but I have always felt like I annoy him when I talk to him. Maybe I do.

RE: AD Bohn
I found President Ono very nice to talk to. Of course, I found him early when there were fewer demands on his time.
