All the more reason to provide these troops with air support and get them TF out of there.

If that base comes under fire, it won't take long for more F/A-18s off the Carl Vinson to be overhead doing work. #merica

I'm with Tom... i haven't seen anything yet saying hte Marines were involved in the fight yet. However, Tom, I wouldn't take too much from this one fight with the Iraqi soldiers to belittle this source of ISIS soldiers.

They've been successful before in defense of certain areas before just collapsing. Tikrit comes to mind, as the Iraqi soldiers there held up for a while (i want to say a week or so?).. and then it was "BOOM! ISIS flag up over the city".
