Grammar-Nazi, avoid reading this article. I truly believe Birdsong is doing this on purpose. How else can you explain it?

Quote:The memories of a loss in exhibition play against Division II UNC Pembroke and a an embarrassing defeat at the hands of Chattanooga just before the start of conference USA play serve as reminders of how far the Blazers have come.

It's obvious what his problem is. He makes corrections to his story, but doesn't delete erase what he changes. Its just sloppy crappy work for from someone who doesn't care give a crap

Honestly, I would rather he not put anything out there.
I don't really feel the urge to read any of his articles or columns.

Let's just give him the benefit of the doubt that these are copies that have been proofed. Can you imagine what the first draft must look like?

I would guess the 1st draft would be a copy of someone else's article.

RE: Goals coming into focus for first-place UAB as it prepares for North Texas
North Texas is a very inconsistent team. The Mean Green gave Louisiana Tech its first loss in conference, and then two days later gave Southern Miss its first conference win. North Texas starts three seniors, but the rest of the team are new juco transfers or freshmen. I think they have some talent, so the inconsistency probably comes from coaching and chemistry issues.

The tallest player on their team is 6-8, and he only plays 15 minutes per game. Most of the time, there will be two 6-7 guys in the frontcourt. Tosin, Haha, CJ, and Chris can all use that to their advantage. Hopefully #blockparty will keep trending tonight.

For North Texas, senior guard Jordan Williams (#23) gets most of the attention since he's the seventh leading scorer in the conference, but also watch out for Jeremy Combs (#11). He's a freshman forward who plays bigger than his 6-7 frame. He leads the team in rebounds and blocks, and is second in scoring and steals. He shooting 56.8%, good for eighth in the conference, but surprisingly he is also the worst FT shooter on the team at 46.2%. Combs deserves to be in the FOY discussion with our guys, the pair from Charlotte, and Omega Harris from UTEP.

Nope. It appeared to be a typical post from MB.

KenPom.com has it 68-64 UAB.

North Texas is 9-13 and 3-7, with wins over LaTech and Creighton. However, they have lost to Marshall and Southern Miss.

The perfect trap game. A team with some talent that can beat good teams, but with a losing record and losses to terrible teams to lure you into complacency..
