Pookie got 1 minute?

Kedren was 4-12 from the field, 0-4 from three. A 1:1 assist to turnover ratio. I can see why he's getting the lion's share of minutes.

To me, it would make more sense to get Nick King more minutes (I seriously don't understand what is going on with Nick).

We are going to roll out Tuesday night against ECU with a starting line up of Kedren, Woodson, Markel, Shaq and Godfrey; and we are going to get pounded.

An ugly season is about to get a lot uglier.

I'm sure King is a great kid and he does work his rear off, but he is just a classic tweener without a position to call his. Too small at the 4 unless we're playing a Christian Bros, not a slasher, no handles and too inconsistent from perimeter to play the 3. Call him a stretch 4 if you like, doesn't change a thing... I don't see what's so hard to figure out there.

And Johnson should be playing in a Mens over 40 league. You can't press effectively with him on the floor, can't play truly effective man defense, slows us in transition both ends and can't shoot a lick. He does make a nice pass every now and then, but is much more a liability while on the floor. This isn't Tiger Basketball by any stretch, but obviously a lot of it could be fixed with a pure and quality PG. jmho.
This eval is simply preposterous. That's all I can say. I'm truly lol.

Pastner has created a disaster at the point guard position. In trying to find an answer he has developed no one. Now we're in the home stretch and the position is as big a question mark as it was at the beginning of the season. It's like the football coach who plays three quarterbacks.

Watching live...team appears much more in control with Kedron running point. Although it agree Pookie should get some more minutes...and get that many will are that if he got more minutes he would be even better.

Maybe. And maybe not.

But for sure...the players Pastner does not play as often always seem...per some...to be the better player. His overall stats are good...Pookie. But there have been more moments when he has looked overwhelmed...and in those moments it has unfortunately hurt.

And yes...more play means more chances to overcome that...or...more chances to be in more bigger situations and more gaffes.

I am for him playing more minutes. But do not think the shorter rotation is a catastrophic mistake.

If it might cause structural damage by coming back early. I want him sitting. The team will have salvage the season without him until the AAC tourney.

All that's left is Hartford. Everything else is for getting experience for next year now :(

We would have gotten a nice bump from beating Temple. Now the only way we get in is by winning the tournament. We might as well let players play through mistakes, especially Pookie.

Agreed

This stretch right here may actually be a good thing...Other guys need to learn to step up and MAYBE Josh will begin to believe in someone other than Austin.

The biggest situations right now is getting better...Our Resume doesn't matter...If the kid with the most potential causes us some games while he figures it out then fine...But if he does figure it out then it gives us a better shot at making the tourney. But my deal is you have the let the kid be the kid you recruited...You recruited an aggressive player, don't try to turn him into a timid little kid.

With Austin out and probably not at 100% if he does return this year, the season just became an exercise in development.

However, if Pastner feels job pressure then he probably won't play it out that way. He'll rip players in and out and change lineups left and right trying to somehow pull a rabbit out his hat and salvage THIS year.

If the $$$$ guys are pretty sure they aren't keep JP for next year then it might be the best move to let him go right now and let an assistant finish up this season. If they are going to keep him then they need to TELL HIM in no uncertain terms that his job is secure so that he can coach the remainder of this season with an eye on next year.....
