You lose your best player for the last few minutes and you make no changes in how to fill that void. Typical, pitiful and one more step closer to the above poster's point. And that's a huge positive.

I'd say its still 50/50 right now. And a change could happen without a head coach getting fired.

It sorta sounds like you both relish MEMPHIS losing in order to achieve your primary objective of Pastner being fired/terminated/replaced. If Nichols wrecking his ankle (or knee, pending MRI results) helps bring your desired objective to fruition; I guess that's simply collateral damage or the laws of unintended consequences. A "huge positive" that helps justify your higher cause.
This is dedicated and focused fan support toward a stated goal! Outstanding!
As I have said several times in recent weeks, it is very possible Pastner will be fired and his contract bought out. The decision-makers will certainly look at all pros and cons involved. This injury might actually work in Pastner's favor. As Hoopsdreams noted, Pastner could be kept but be given specific directives on new assistants or other things. Just try not to be overly vindictive IF the boosters and administration give Pastner a 7th year.
Here's hoping Nichols makes a full recovery from his injury. That's MY objective.

You have no idea what you're talking about and none of what I have said has anything to do with Austin, who is a friend of my son and a terrific player and young man.
What I said has everything to do with Josh and his unwillingness or in capability of making any adjustments/changes in a basketball game. That's part of being a coach and he can't do it. If you think differently then you don't watch the games. My post also has everything to do with the fact that the above points will lead to his demise here. End of story.

Opinions vary on how you and the other poster described the loss as a HUGE POSITIVE. Both of you view losses that way. Both of you deem it more important that the TIGERS lose to result in Pastner's removal. If Nichols injury deprives MEMPHIS of their star and helps hasten your self-proclaimed goal, so be it.
Your REAL intention is clearly exposed by your own posts above.
The truth is....you're not alone in that attitude. Other fans (?) have posted the same thing many times and don't apologize or backtrack. They brazenly wish for it.
End of story.

Again, you have no idea, none whatsoever, what you are talking about. The huge positive is the possibility of Pastner not being our coach next year. Hopefully, that will be the beginning of the story.

Pastner isn't going anywhere...
Just a few years ago people were saying that about the guy sitting next to him. Matter of fact, the guy said it himself, as I recall.
I wouldn't be too hasty, if I were you, about declaring that I know what the future holds as if it had already occurred. One poster did that day before yesterday, saying Memphis was "currently" in third place in the conference. What he meant was, we surely would beat Temple, and when we did, we'd be in third place. But, you know, we didn't.
Pastner will be gone at some point, just like every other coach, and that much is certain. How long it will take is the only thing that remains to be seen. So either way, you are with a statement that is patently false.
