RE: Best mid-major QB to Memphis!
Everyone please, let's just calm down and recognize the mistake here.......

The "mid-major" term was a very poor choice of words by 247Sports Director of Scouting Barton Simmons; ""Brady Davis is the best mid-major quarterback commit out there. I think he is a really talented kid. They've got a kid named Jared Gentry out of Opelika (Ala.) who I think is a stud at the defensive line position, sort of an interior guy. Darrell Henderson out of South Panola is incredibly productive." (link provided in the initial post)

All TigerCity and Ramen did was quote his wording from the article. They aren't saying the AAC or Memphis is "mid-major", which isn't even a relevant term for FBS football.

I understand the glee in pointing out errors in others' posts, and on rare occasions and in frustration; I've done it myself. However, this was merely using the poorly chosen wording utilized by a recruiting "expert" in the quoted article.

Peace, AAC brothers........

Well damn! All Tulsa did in 3 weeks of recruiting with a new staff is sign a 4* who was recruited to be the next RG3 at Baylor and a honorable mention all American pocket passer.

But one guy didn't think we did good enough, so shucks.

The University of Florida is an FBS school. So is Georgia Southern. So is Southern California. So is Akron. So is Auburn. So is San Jose State. They all play in the same division of college football. Giving them opinionated labels doesn't change that.

No but being a non contract conf does and that's the rub. We can't play for a championship

Haha these were my thoughts exactly... I didn't watch any tape on this Memphis QB, but I did on the SMU and Cicny QB's... I think both of our guys bring more to the table. In fact, our lower ranked QB out performed Cicny's in the Ark. State championship.

I guess we will all see. In the meantime, you guys have to deal with a proven stud in Paxton Lynch for the next two years.

I know it could have been an error, but mid-major is a pretty obvious and very negative way to describe that QB. I'm not sure who that recruiting expert is either but the title, "Best mid-major QB" is taken by a lot of us as a troll post...you know, the tallest midget kind of thing...plus it's football, not basketball. Peace

Lol Brady Davis is aaa gunslinger

Yes but Bo Levi Mitchell was THE gunslinger
(Look it up, you'll be amused)

We are excited to see Davis after Lynch leaves. It isn't a done deal though because Clay Holgorsen from Katy, Texas is pretty good himself. Memphis has good QB situation at the moment.

And a delicious RB situation at the moment!
