It's all in good fun my friend. Ever notice how super skinny, toothpick looking rednecks always go for the fat girls?
No I get it. Hell I'd smash Megan and the girl from Road Trip (RIP). My issue is the idea that that the type of women you'd have sex with is an indication of one's masculinity. If I happen like fat chicks, that should be great because I'm leaving all the skinny one for you. We both win.
And that my issue with the response to the lady with the killer abs. She was approaching the argument from a health point of view. And regardless of attraction, being obese is not doing any body any good.
COMON MAN!!! HEALTHY AT ANY SIZE!!!!!!!!
If you need a cart to do your shopping, that's not healthy. Getting Type II diabetes because of your weight, is not healthy. Nor is needing blood pressure medication to keep ones heart from exploding. If health care were still a private enterprise, then I'd have no problem with people destroying their bodies however they see fit, but if we are going to socialize medicine then it is everyone's issue that there are people who are unnecessarily burdening a fragile system.
*edit...I just ran across this and even I'm skeptical of its accuracy...

RE: Trim mom is shamed for shaming fat people who have no shame
I would be in Heaven in the Roaring 20's, Swinging 60's, Supermodel Era, and Ancient Egypt... I would have never made it in Ancient Greece, the Italian Renaissance, the Victorian Era, or the "Golden age of Hollywood."
The best era, for me, would have been the Ancient Egypt era. I'm not sure if it's the golden skin, the eye makeup, or my overall infatuation with ancient Egypt.

You know, I never saw any ancient Egyptian symbols for fat people.

I'm right there with you on this one.
Hell yeah!

That's a damn good point, I never noticed that before.

Actually newer evidence shows a lot of the pharaohs and Royal family were fat. Most of the rich were bigger as well.
More importantly, ancient Egyptians almost always symbolized themselves as physically perfect as possible. Only one pharaoh really deviated from this practice. King Tut's dad, the rogue pharaoh Akhenaten.
So you wouldn't see any hieroglyphs of fat people anyway. Even if they were common among the rich class.

Obviously, I'm 180 degrees out from you. I noticed though that no one is championing the heroin chick.

Which is why I question the validity of the standards used. Only the rich were ever in a position to consume enough calories to get fat in the first place. Everyone else was eating somewhere around the starvation line.

I think throughout most of history the rich were generally fat, unless it was a conquering warlord.

If I could go back in time, I'd snatch up a skinny beggar. I always thought the queen in the Scorpion King had it going on too. Bet she'd come back with me.
However, none of us really know. That would be the beauty of going back in time to see. Paintings aren't accurate, at least from those days up to the 1700's.
