USA fans??(I heard you got a lot of UAB players)
Yup, which is why our class ranking will not be accurate since we took 9 UAB players. A couple of those will enroll this summer to count towards next year. We've had a couple commits go elsewhere as a result. One went to USM today. We would have still honored the scholarship, but he wanted a better possibility of playing time and our coaches worked with him on his decision.
Actually, if you understand how the math works, your ranking is pretty accurate. You have 21 recruits ranked, the rankings of the 9 UAB transfers wouldn't effect your class ranking a great deal. The 21st player on your list is only contributing ~8.5% of their total above 70 to your total class ranking. Adding 9 guys taking you to 30, you get less than 3% average of the tail end of your class so it's likely you already have greater than 95% of your class's value with the players you have listed and therefore your class ranking wouldn't increase much.
With more room, USA could have probably added a few more high-two to three-star players and increased the class total ranking. The coaches valued three experienced FBS players over that possibility, which indicates they will have more impact.

You've got a decent number of 3 stars already and a couple that are right on the edge. What's hurting you is the unranked players, but they should be 2 stars at least which would help. Honestly though, your overall rank still wouldn't increase much more than what it is now. You could potentially move into 3rd. You'd have to have a lot more quality 3 stars in your top 5 to catch ULL though as well as minimized variance in your scores as you go down the list.
Your class is pretty strong. It can't get much better. I'd expect a small boost from getting those 3 unranked guys rated. Potentially enough to get you in 4th. Not too shabby.

We lost a DB to San Diego State on Wednesday. Talk about last minute. 24/7 already has his switch done.

Are you worried about having a front-heavy squad taking so many transfers? It seems like that move might come back to haunt USA in 2-3 years.
Not really. Our coaches just have to be creative in this and future classes and gray shirt, red shirt, and blue shirt wisely. I would rather bring in experienced FBS players now than be completely green on offense this year.
What is a blue shirt?
A recruit who does not sign but reports to campus over the summer and is awarded a scholarship then. This pushes him forward to the next signing period. He can be offered the blue shirt but can't come on an official visit and coaches can't visit him at his school (or home, I think).
Actually he can report "anytime" as a walk on as long (as he wasn't recruited) and workout with the team.(Grayshirts can't)Then get his scholly when promised with the clock starting at the point of walking on but the scholly counting in year it was given.
