RE: Questions for Mick?
Do you try to internalize every game to your team or do you ever just step back and say "WOW Temple played great Tuesday"?

Do you worry about freshman hitting the wall? Of course I am specifically worried about Clark, but it could be a general question this time of year.

Once UC is in the B12, how do you see us stacking up with the teams in that conference right out of the gate?

Now, in the future are you going to recruit a shooting guard that can shoot?

RE: Questions for Mick?
Tommy, it sure seems like everyone really wants to know if Mick is even considering changing his approach to offense and recruiting. I know ruffling feathers should be avoided, but that seems like all anyone really wants to hear his answer to.

RE: Questions for Mick?
Legit question:

Mick, given the obvious fact this team is beyond brutal when running half court offense, and also given that we love to press, trap, and cause havoc creating turnovers, how come we don't just try and run fast break/transition offense every chance we get? Seems like running half court offense should be avoided like the plague on this team and used only when we have to?

Mick:

Hope you are feeling better. Would you consider having a plan before the season starts where members ( who would pay for this privilege ) could watch practice, a day, two days, a week to get first hand knowledge as to how you teach offense, defense, shooting, etc.

Join the Tip Off Club and I think you get to attend a practice.

Mick

By my records we have had three suspensions so far this year. If we are going to go that route why dont we start getting some Ruben Patterson type players in here; players that are high risk/high reward. If we are going to have problem players we might as well stock the roster with high risk/high reward types and at least become nationally relevant again.

RE: Questions for Mick?
Wow. Why don't you ask Mick to check the police blotters for felons
first over 3 Pt shooters?

I like staying out of the incident headlines, and i'm not willing to risk that to pad the W/L record.

Questions for Mick?
Wouldn't a better question be why does Mick not target deadly shooters over "long, athletic"wingmen? Do they simply not fit into the system he runs? See them as a liability to his defensive sets? Simply cannot find one interested? Doesn't see them as a necessary piece to a winning and contending team?

How did he view them as an assistant under Huggs and Pitino? Which shooters was he responsible for bringing in while an assistant?

He recruited Fransisco Garcia and Taquan Dean while at UL, I believe.

I believe Sanders was a "3 point shooter" in high school. I like to think that this is where shooters come to die.

I assume you are responding to my post. All I was saying was, IF we are going to have multiple players suspended, then heck, they ought to be high risk/high reward types at least.

It's similar to saying, if we are going to cheat, then by god we better win. You don't want to be like UNC football...cheating AND sucking. Miami Fl cheated, but by god they were good. UNLV cheated, but they kicked butt on the court.

That's all I'm saying. Why have players that are getting suspended AND have a team not good enough to get to the ncaa possibly? If we as fans are going to put up with a team with multiple players suspended throughout the course of the season, at least the team should be like 26-3 and ranked.

It's a valid point/question.

Does Mick rely on advice from Duane Norman for play calling?

Edit: To appease BJ let me make my statement a question for Mick.

Mick,

Based on Duane's breakdowns it appears that if you utilized his play calling we would probably score more. Do you agree?
