Lesser GSU. Funny. I laughing because we will have 54k students next year and be breaking ground on the Turner Field repurposing. Lesser indeed.
You go know they gave up the GSU fight, right?

- "I laughing"? ok...
- "54k students next year" That's counting the community college you're merging with, right?

As if anyone cares. You are trolling the ODU board, not the other way around.

True. But someone must care as much as we continue to come up on this board. :)
At any rate my original post was about how many recruits we got from that camp. I imagine you will have similar success. You will find that players that would not have considered ODU otherwise are going to show up because of Penn State. We got poo poo'ed on the SBC boards for this camp. Supposedly Pen State was using us and would steal our recruits as if we recruit against B1G power teams. We got six recruits and Penn State at least as of last week has no GA commits. So there you go.

So, essentially Ga State's game plan is "if you build it, they will come"?
I love that movie too, but as a business plan...

Its a once in a lifetime opportunity. Its more than just the football stadium. We get to build new facilities for baseball, softball and soccer, additional student housing and retail as well as classrooms and thereby extend our footprint downtown.

All it would take is lightning in a bottle and an AD willing to run with it and we could have our newest VCU. On the surface that's a compliment.

Lol...Braves appear in GA Supreme Court over stadium financing today. Once judge upholds lower court ruling we should see some movement on the Ted property.

I get that, and that's all great.
But as to what it means for specifically the football program, we'll have to see. I'm sure you'll get a little attendance & recruiting bump from shiny new facilities, but you'll need to win to keep that momentum. The excitement of the new program didn't lead to many bodies in the seats after the first few games.

What will the excuse be next year, or the following year, or the following year....
You do know that GSU is the punch line of college football, right? When FCS programs are laughing at you, you know you have a perception problem.

If this coach doesn't win 6 games this year then he is gone. No excuses.

The common denominator is not the players, coach, or AD...it's the program! It's a failed experiment for many reasons beyond your control. It just is. No shame.

You sound like the UA BOT. How can a program be an a failed experiment after 5 years when programs have been playing 100 plus years. We have no history. And its not an experiment. We are staying. We will be fine with Charlie Cobb
