Well at least no one is complaining that we ran out of the tunnel with a state of Ohio flag.

This is not anything surprising and I am glad UT has finally done the same. People simply do not know enough about Toledo, at least now people in the south will know where UT is located. This design is also very popular with college students and the younger generation as a whole.

Below is an example of UC doing it recently and it has become a very popular logo for the bearcats and their fan base.

One of my biggest surprises when I first moved to Chicago (for those non-Rocket fans here...that is only 250 miles and four hours away), most Chicagoans that asked me where I was from did not know where Toledo was. Even more surprising was that probably 75% of them said "is that in Texas?" Usually if someone knew where Toledo was, they were a transplant to the city from another state. On an unrelated note, native Chicagoans never seem to be able to distinguish between Ohio and Iowa. After a while I gave up and quit correcting people when they would say things like "oh yeah, you're originally from Iowa huh?"

To be honest, most people in the Chicagoland area believe that Iowa starts west of the Tristate. Wisconsin starts at Waukegon, and anything south of I-80 is downstate and not worthy of discussion.

So are about 30 other D1 schools...

Go back to the Toledo/Rocket logo please.

These ever-changing helmet logos look like they were designed in an 8th grade art class and look like crap.

Intro videos to men's and women's basketball games.... We are TOLEDO!!!

Which is in the Milky Way! DANG! what a missed recruiting opportunity. There's this kid on Alpha Centauri, would have been great at long snapper and OMG have you seen the co-eds from Rigel II?

And over Columbus an image of a guy in a black suit, with a broken nose and a fist full of cash.

I'm OK with the helmet. The decal makes 0 (zero) sense.

The Ohio flag coming out of the tunnell...mmkay...what's the point? A subtle dig on the state of Alabama for the state of Ohio? How does UT get stuck with that duty? (or doody)

I thought the uniforms looked sharp. Same look that UT had at Iowa State, very similar look to that of the San Diego Chargers.

With regards to the logo, I like it. We are Toledo, represented by the Rocket, We are also in Ohio, represented by the state logo. I also loved the fact that the Rockets ran onto the field with a State of Ohio Flag/Burgee.

RE: Toledo will wear this helmet logo for the GDB
I wouldn't change anything about the Bowl. It was wonderful way for the season to end for the seniors who have sweated and played thru injuries that would keep us experts in the recliner. Making a quick count, between the mandatory and "UN"mandatory workouts, film, meetings, recruiting assignments, team commitments etc. they averaged less than 35 days [Note: my count, not anything from an Official source] off per year. The bottom line is the players like wearing different uniforms and helmets and I believe if it's good enough for them then it should be good enough for us fans. An option would be providing the $$$$ needed to outfit the team in an entire helmet, jersey, pants look that is of the paying individuals liking. JUST GUESSING: At Maybe $250 per player times 105 if home game. Approx $26,000, I think "maybe" would buy you the right to choose the look. Otherwise, I guess the school and Sponsoring Sportwear Company will make that call.
