Yep, CMU, NIU, and BSU are 1 - 0.
Toledo, WMU and EMU are 0 - 1.

RE: MAC BBall WK9 (1/4 - 1/10)
The Broncos looked just 'so-so' against a weak sauce OOC slate. And while it's always tough to beat the Zips in Akron, we looked out of our league there.
Long season, but not what I anticipated thus far from 4 of 5 starters returning from a MAC championship team. Might've underestimated how much we'd miss Whittington on the floor.
That said, Hawkins' teams often start slow, and that includes last year. But we're far from looking like the pre-season #2 at this point.

I have no idea of who the first week #2 (or #1, or #3, or #4, or...) is.
This looks like a very crazy MAC season with no team out there waiting to be dethroned.
If I were a Vegas bookie, I'd start odds to win the MAC tourney at least 4 : 1 and I don't even know which team I'd make the favorite (BG?). Toledo 5: 1? Then maybe Akron, CMU, EMU, WMU 6 : 1. Kent 7:1.

And honestly, there is no incentive for them to do it. Same with any mid major that has at-large aspirations. They're just hoping to avoid a bad loss (and don't get it twisted; losing to a MAC team is a bad loss on an at-large resume), while we are looking to shock the world. It's a lose-lose for them.
Don't feel bad, the Oranges don't play anybody on the road until the conference forces them to. If you look at their OOC schedule it is all at home, or in MSG, which is essentially a second home to them.
It's just the kind if poussies they are.

Yeah because they didn't play at Michigan or at Villanova this year right?

WMU beats Buffalo 78-68. This is the WMU team I expected to see against Akron. Hopefully we see more of this team as the season goes on.

Well, since you bring it up, Michigan was part of the ACC/B1G Challenge, so you had no choice. I don't know about the deal with Villanova, perhaps a trip home for a senior player?
At any rate, yeah 2 of 16 games on the road. That's normal

The Ohio women score a home win over goliath Toledo this afternoon. One of the nation's worst programs just a couple seasons ago, Bob Boldon has completely turned OU around. We might even compete for the conference title.

Ummm...quite a few teams have beaten the Lady Rockets the past season-and-a half...that's not exactly a "signature" win these days.

And yes, Bolden has done a nice job down in Athens. Honestly, i would have been surprised if this young Toledo team would have beaten Ohio on the road.

You guys are buzzkills.
Oh, and BG runs away from the Ohio men in the second half. Going to be a long season in Athens.

Cards up 70-57 on the Chippewas. Could be a surprising 2-0 in the MAC West

83-65 final. BSU is looking great in their first two MAC games. Young, very young, not very big, and not very deep (with Tyler out, Thok gone, Gill non-existent, Richardson redshirted), so will have bad days this season as well, but the future is looking bright...

EMU had a 25 point lead in the first half (think it was 39 - 14) and lost by one point in OT.
Two losses in two games, both in OT.
Last victory at Millett - 1996.

If Ohio had won today the MAC would have 10 teams tied at 1-1. Instead both divisions are mirrored after Week1- one 2-0, one 0-2, and four 1-1 teams each. parity is alive and well in the MAC.
