I had not seen either UC-Riverside or Hampton play before these games, but statistically speaking, UC-Riverside is marginally better than Hampton this year. Overall its pretty much a wash though, very close statistically.

I'd almost be willing to bet the other team covers. I see this being a big defensive game, and NIU missing a lot of shots. Seems like a fair spread in my opinion.

Looking only at stats, UCR looks like a two man wrecking crew with Johns (F) and Bland (G). Johns leads the team in scoring, rebounds and blocks, and the two guys blow everyone else out of the water in attempts so they are constantly getting fed the ball. UCR is also another small team with noone over 6'9".

With this being a one-off road trip for them, and thr first east of Utah, and NIU's record at home, Northern wins.
