I, too, get frustrated with Baker particularly missing Tree when he seals his guy on the block.......however, that said, Baker is a shoot/score first type of point guard (a 2 guard in a point guard's body) so you take what you get with him....we don't win 4-5 games last year without his offensive aggression and no way we beat UCR (looked like VCR on scoreboard) last night without his attacking mentality and offense.

As soon as Tree does get it he then needs to move quick. He waits too long and then he has 3 guys around him. Get it and bank it off the glass.

I'll admit I haven't been to a game yet but have caught some on WatchEspn.
I did see the type of play you describe above. He then turned the ball over with an open Huskie next to the bucket. He's got to know if there are 2-3 guys on him to find the open man. He is slow to recognize and react.

The shoot part, maybe. The score part?

Maybe we need to make Monty the defensive coordinator and add an offensive coordinator.

Like you, I have no problem with NIU defense.
I still have no clue what MM team is trying to run on offense for the past 4 years. At least he got rid of the 3 man weave and the last guy holding the ball shoots. I have never seen a team lack so many offensive skill sets. Just watch and see how many players catch the ball in a triple threat position. When was the last time you saw a skip pass?

I just turned the stream on (didn't know it started!!). Was his injury worse looking than Beebe's injury?
His shoulder had extra points. It's broken. Not as bad as Beebe, but clearly broken.
What in the heck is a "broken shoulder"? Dislocated, separated but broken is a new one on me. Do you have a degree in medicine?
Maybe I'm being overly critical here but some of the absolute cra* on this board is mind numbing.
Checked with my "source" on Sunday. Bowie is not badly injured, probably going to miss OU but could be ready for Kent. Just depends. This has happened before.
And Beebe had a broken arm, not shoulder.

FWIW...From 1/2/15...Maybe Mr. Nitz will update.....
Quote:Montgomery said Bowie is day-to-day. The Huskies begin MAC play Wednesday at Ohio.
"Unfortunately that shoulder popped out, and it's done that before," Montgomery said. "We'll get X-rays again in the morning, hopefully it's not dislocated and it's something that he can put a sling on and play through."

Nobody here claimed to have a degree in medicine. When people say broken in casual conversation, they don't always necessarily mean that a bone was broke... It could mean dislocated / sprained / broken / simply doesn't look right. Idk why you're picking on this, and trying to call us idiots ...
Also, we know that Beebe had a broken arm. The statement was in regards to a question that I asked in terms of 'visually' being broken. Thanks for trying to clear that up, though.

I wasn't speaking literally. It looked "broken." "Broken." SORRY.
I didn't say beebe had a broken shoulder. I meant the injury didn't look as bad as beebe's.
Now go talk to your source some more. And keep wearing that asshat. Looks right.

Odd. Aren't both of these the same thing: "popped out" and "dislocated"?

In tonight's "Monty Minute" speaking about tomorrow's MAC opener he said "probably be without Darrell Bowie".
Just general talk about the MAC opener and was not answering a DB specific question.

You do realize the coaches, trainers, and staff often want to keep information like this private; a) out of respect for the privacy of the player; b) so opponents don't know what to expect. So why and how do you expect Huskiewire to provide or get more information? Ask someone like dekalb222, who is connected to the staff.

I am just a fan. I am not associated with the team or coaches. I talk to coaches when I see them but I have no inside info. The basketball and football teams and coaches do not give out much info on things.
