ECU did well against them in OOC play.
What are your thought? Small gap that's getting bigger each year?
ECU is 4-1 against the ACC coastal the past two years. Outside FSU and Clemson the gap is not as large as people think it is. UCF looked completely out of sorts and Cinny ran into Bud Foster, you can't turn it over 3 times against him and not get burned for it. The short fields for VT's Offense didn't help.

No. More like LARGE gap and getting MUCH LARGER each year. That was the whole purpose of creating the Power Five format to begin with. To keep the Justice Department at bay, the five piss ant conferences will be allowed to battle for a meaningless access bowl spot each year. It'll only get worse from here.

Thats for being dramatic.Truth is Conf USA is more screwd than we are. There is not much difference between the top 4 or 5 AAC schools and rhe middle of the ACC.ECU has beaten Nc State, Unc and Va Tech recently.Cincy crapped the bed and UCF came against a NC State team that played the best i have seen them play in a long time.I think we split even witjh them most of the time.

ECU 4-1 vs the ACC the last two years. 2-0 this year.

Nc State is a lower tier ACc football team and has been forever. Beating you guys is not much effort. Also,State is not a program where good coaches want to build long term carreers. They have a good one now,but as soon as he starts winning he is gone to the better Power programs.
Nc State saw their win agsinst UCF as a big deal, dont let them tell you other wise.

I'm curious why you think there's such a big gap between Florida State and the rest of the ACC.
Since the first ACC championship game in 2005, FSU has been to 5 games and won 4 of them. Virginia Tech has been to 5 games and won 3 of them. Sure, this year there's a pretty significant disparity but that's not typical.

Beyond those two, no one has sniffed that much success, Clemson is cursed to be in the division as FSU. None has had the run that FSU is on. FSU has the only national titles of recent memory. Miami comes in second in that and it's been years since they been at that level, even VT has played in only one nation championship game. The rest haven't been "national powers" in over 10 years, meaning regular top 10, UofL is the closest. But, that was mainly in the BE.
The GAP is there because ESPN and the "power conferences" created it. No, the AAC from top to bottom is not stronger than the ACC, but......at least 6 or 7 of the schools in the American could change places with the middle of the ACC and the results would be the same. Trade ECU and Wake for example....ECU would do much better with the built in advantages the ACC provides than Wake has done. Wake Forest along with several others in the ACC would be bottom feeders in the AAC. Cincinnati, UCF and Houston would also be bowl eligible every year in the ACC, and occasionally any one of those teams would play in the ACC championship game. BC, Pitt, Wake, Cuse and Duke would be losing programs in football year and year out without that magical thing called P5 conference affiliation.

Who are you replying to? I sure a hell ain't impressed with ripping off others.
UCF and Cincy played close football games this weekend.Had they been blown out,i wpuld worry.Again, i believe the top 4 teams in the AAC split their games with Mid range ACC programs.

you are living up to your name if you truly believe what you wrote above Insane. FSU over the past 35 years is light years beyond the rest of the ACC schools. I don't even know where to start as defending your position would be as hard as convincing anyone that 1 plus 1 equals 3.
