Isn't there some inherent danger in the conference actually producing material that states "we are the best in the G5", because it means we see ourselves at a lower level than the P5? Conference reps don't like to put that on the record. See the AAC commish who refuses to admit his conference is not a power conference.

But who's he trying to fool? You've got to be the best of the G5 before other comparisons can begin.

He's trying to fool the fans that don't come to a site like this.

I can see his point somewhat. If he "admits" he is on a level below then he has basically branded his conference.

Yea the Noon starts was really something different for WKU fans....I hope NBC picks us up and we can get Sat. night games shown....We know FS1 and CBS Sports will not likely every give us night games on TV....Thankfully with American Sports Network we can have a few televised night games....Hoping WKU is on American more than once next season...

The challenge will be to back it up with another year like this one to prove its not a "one-off" year.

La Tech and Rice are just 2 of several who are positioned well to grab a signature win next year against a top tier P5. Combine that with another year of dominating other G5s, and we will be set up quite nicely for an NBC to come in and showcase our brand to a national audience in prime time.

If that happens would like to see NBC expand its bowl presence, too.

I'm interested to see how NBC might work out.

They've already got every Notre Dame home game through 2025, usually at 3:30 pm.

They've also got the last 20 NASCAR races, most of which will be aired on NBCSN. Quite a few of those late-season races during football season fall on Saturday night.

Would NBC want to air two college football games on Saturdays? If so, would they want to air a C-USA game during Saturday prime time? If the answer to both is "yes" then it's a huge deal for us. If not, I could see 11:00 becoming a near-default start time for our biggest game each week... before Notre Dame plays.

NBCSN, on the other hand, would be much more flexible. The idea that we could see two or three games each Saturday on NBCSN (depending on Notre Dame and/or NASCAR) sounds nice.

C-USA New Year's Day bowl. Let's make this happen, peacock.
