Aw, the loss to the Huskies still stings, huh?

We were a 1-11 team last year... Just happy to compete. But your carrying the MAC flag. Nice work making us look good against the CUSA...

Shut your whore mouth

hahahahahaha... I just find it hilarious that you guys thought you deserved a Peach bowl bid... EXPOSED!!!!! Its going to be a riot to watch you guys just fall off the planet over the next few years... To bad you had to carry the MAC flag because Toledo was rocking a fourth string QB all year... Pathetic.

I was rooting for you guys until you and your fan base came and dropped douche bombs on us after our potato bowl disaster...

Its ON! (and honestly I kind of like having a dirty rivalry connection with an educated fan base ... since all we've really had over the years is those dumb a$$es in Mt. Pleasant to deal with.. . ). GO MAC.

(oh... and I might need to reach out for some ideas about lodging next year in NIU for the WMU game. ).. :)

And everyone here had nothing against WMU until your fans came over here to our board and sh!t all over the Huskies during their win against Ohio. Take your sorry ass back to the WMU board, chump.

Good post banker, you guys played well and have a strong squad...just understand it's a tough blow to our ego to see that tonight, but your team won a good game and should be proud

Don't take this one too hard, you guys are still on a nice run.

Your qb is really good and you guys out-executed us. Good game.

We will try to develop our young team and compete for the access bowl again next year!

Out executed? You got just plain dominated. MAC turned in a turd of a champ this year. You guys go talking smack to the rest of the league and drop a deuce like today... Hilarious.

You guys dominated today, well sort of, NIU left about 28 points in the red zone. But good luck and prove next year you are not a one-hit wonder with Cato. That will be a good test next season to see where the Marshall program is at

Yeah, I got the little backhanded put down the first time you used it, but let it slide trying to be polite. We won 10 games last year too.

Oh, and what you have done the last 5 years in the MAC, we call that 1997-2002. Difference is we won the championship game 5 times and won our bowl games. Because we have done it before, although slightly better, I can appreciate what NIU has accomplished recently.

As I have just posted over on the WMU board... its not a good thing when MAC teams lose bowl games. I wasn't happy NIU lost... and I also wasn't happy your damn NIU contributors come over to the Bronco board and give use $hit for our loss... (however we both have fans/contributors that like to rock the boat). And honestly ( hey 7 are you out there)... think that this banter is actually good for us... I would RATHER have NIU be more of a rivalry game than it is... it pisses me off that it isn't!!!!

Marshall was a damn good team this year... ( I watched a few of their games and their QB is a flipping NIGHTMARE when weather doesn't impact his ability). Nothing to be ashamed of... Hare let you down in the red zone...

GO MAC... and honestly... Us Bronco's are going to need your mental energy next year in game one... We get Michigan State at home...

I actually wish we could just get some home/home games with each other when it wasn't the end of November!

You must have had, what, 2 NIU posters on WMU's board ragging you about your bowl loss? One would be 7, and he hasn't grown up enough to be classy. Air Force is a good team, plus you gotta defend that oddball offense they run, and prepare for it in a couple weeks, which sucks.

Really disappointed we couldn't make this a game in the 4th quarter.

Marshall fans were right, they would've got more national credit for beating Illinois. Marshall beating Illinois by 29 is better than beating NIU by 29!

Is it though?

If they'd beaten Illinois by that much, people would say "Yeah, but they beat Illinois, who isn't very good."

By beating us, people are saying, "They beat a pretty good NIU team that won a conference title."

Coverage and Redzone Offense issues for the Huskies. I questioned the keeping Cato in after it was a blow-out. I hope everybody that attended the game had a good time. Thought the pregame atmosphere and the weather were great.

No they are not saying that. What they are saying is the MAC sucks. We beat Northwestern and were proud of it. If, Marshall beat a Bigten school (Illinois) they would be proud of it.

Congrats on your big win tonight. I for one had little doubt that Marshall was good enough to beat lots of P5 schools, well before this game. Johnson is a beast and so is Cato.

Solid game Huskies. Just our night. You have a great program and I am sure will be on top next year as well.

We should be fine even losing Cato. Have a kid sitting out with a better arm and bigger.

Even though Cato has set almost every school QB record, in a school with 3 NFL-drafted QBs in the past 20 years, and Shueler has the most-receptions record for Conference USA, according to the commentators for tonight's game it isn't clear if either of them well get into the NFL. It could be the last football game for one or both of the guys who have been playing football together for most of their lives. Holiday was leaving them in to enjoy it and get the most out of it while they can.

I don't think anyone should complain about Cato staying in the game. Let the kid finish his career on a high.

Any of our fans want to complain, complain about our damn red zone offense and pathetic special teams..03-banghead

You could maybe say we were dominated in the red zone* . the fourth Q turned into garbage time, because we couldn't turn our drives into points early in the game. You can believe what you want, but up until the 4th Q the game WAS a competivie match. Desmond Howard said it himself - the final score was not indicative of 3/4 of the game. We didn't deserve to win, but don't bother saying we were dominated.

And again, I'm not surprised Marshall fans come to talk crap.

We need to get out of the MAC. Playing crap all year doesn't help when you really step up the competition in bowls. Marshall won't replace CATO.

1 out of 12 games is not enough. Playing Miami, KSU, EMU doesn't help. When we did play Arkansas looked what happened.
