I live less than an hour from South Bend and I just couldn't attend tonight. As cool as it would be to step on the holy Notre Dame campus the first time, it would be too hard to watch the bloodshed.

That's a damn poor reason for not going. Support your team.

Really really have to be impressed with the effort tonight. I think the 2nd half of that Dartmouth game may have marked a turnaround with this team. It wont show up tonight against one of the nation's very best teams on the road, but I think we might be looking at a mini-run starting with the next game

For athletic as Bowie is, he is clumsy.

48-35 at half. That ND 3 at the half time buzzer really sucked. Huskies down 10 then they hit the 3 giving ND the momentum and likely hurting any momentum the Huskies may have had.

Pete ROCK!!!!!! Playing the best he has his entire career!!!!

Threefold needs to step up this game. Baker is getting lucky shots which is keeping his minutes.

They just need to crank up the defense and give the ball to Armstead/Orris/PRock/Bowie, anyone hot.

ND overlooked us to start of, so that adds to the surprising start.

NIU had so many blown defensive assignments to begin the game

Clear to see Notre Dame is #1 in the country at shooting the basketball for a reason. Lights out, geesh. Having said that, I think the Huskies showed something tonight, I still have faith this will be a team to be reckoned with in MAC play. I do believe a corner has been turned.

Not a bad effort at all, I think this team is headed in the right direction. Notre Dame is just really comfortable at home, and they are the best shooting team in college basketball. Can't wait for the opener in Athens.

Just an observation: Had to deal with numerous interuptions but unlike having to listen to Bill Baker and sometimes guess, his replacement was very clear with time and score on a regular basis. Baker sometimes drops to many vague references: "the lead back up to five" "between the turnover and bucket, that's a four-point swing" "37-32" "margin is now six" without using either Huskies or the visitors as a reference.

Huskies only 10 turnovers. Bowie only had one. If he doesn't turn it over he can be effective. Huskies shot 40% and 38% from on 3's. You can win with those numbers. Aaric Armstead and Threloff are slumping. Aaron Armstead is on fire from 3. He is shooting 455% from 3 now. ND had just beat Florida St by 20 and Purdue by 31. The point guard spot is a huge problem. Maybe Anthony Johnson can play there.

Johnson really seems to have some mental lapses on defense at times, but yes the point guard position is a huge huge problem, it is causing players to have to play out of their normal roles which never ever can lead to good things. How about those CMU Chips, my goodness where did this team come from

RE: Huskies @ #16 Fighting Irish predictions
Huskies need a big guy and a juco scoring guard for next year. Hopefully, Highsmith is back and can play point guard. Orris and Baker cannot be the point guards next year. Huskies must win the next two games or they will finish under 500 again!
