UCF is a commuter school that, regardless of what any UCF fan tries to tell me, will never convince me or mainstream America that they're anything but 4th best AT best in their own state and market. They've had a couple of good years in football, I'll give you that, but outside of football they're God Awful at literally EVERY other sport. They're not nearly as attractive to other conferences as they'd like to think they are and in fact, I think adding UCF could lead to meltdowns like we saw when the Catholic 7 decided to leave due to the addition of Tulane. If the options are add UCF or fold as a conference, I really and honestly think you'll have the BigXII fold as a conference and it's members go elsewhere. Furthermore, I'm really kind of tired of UCF fans being completely and utterly unable to take off their fan glasses and look at things in a reasonable and realistic manner...

Why is Memphis better? Because Memphis is a better, more well rounded athletics department as a whole than UCF. They offer solid and improving football, and they would instantly boost the credibility of basketball for the conference (and yes, believe it or not, that DOES matter). Memphis has shown that they can carry one of the largest college sports markets in basketball and thus it's not much extrapolation to believe people would tune in if/when they can compete in a more prominent conference in football. Trust me, I've spent quite a bit of time in Memphis and in Orlando both...and I can tell you, you'll find PLENTY of Memphis memorabilia on cars ect...while in Orlando, you see plenty of Florida and FSU stuff.
You are a ******* idiot. Our basketball is average. Our other sports are excellent. Memphis is a dump compared to Orlando..as is Loservile.

We are a major research university with a med school. I live out west and even out here you run into UCF fans...wearing UCF gear...have not met up with any Loservile fans or Memphis fans..

I don't believe you have ever been to either Memphis or Orlando...

Just out of curiosity, define major research institution.

When baiting and taunting start and a thread about Oklahoma State turns into a whizzing contest between parties who have derailed the thread it is time to end it. JR
