for the Thunder. Imagine having to play so hard just to get in the playoffs. Your reward? The Grizzles. I agree. It would suck to be the Thunder.

So you are saying you are cool with playing the thunder as a 1 seed while the 2 seed gets to sweep Phoenix. That is like saying you get a 1 seed in the NCAA tourney and don't have a problem playing Duke as a 16 in your first round game.

You're welcome to interpret it however you want, but I said no such thing. NBA and college seedings are determined entirely differently. I said what I believe. The same thing happened last year with those two teams and the higher seed won because they were better. I think the higher seed would win this year. Your comparison of the college and NBA situation is apples and oranges.

Has nothing to do with how things are determined...If you get the 1 seed you would hope to get an easier first round game, but through the luck of the draw and injuries you get OKC one of the best teams in the west. Essentially a 1 seed Vs. a 2 seed in the first round.

If they do end up an 7/8 seed...People will start playing to duck them.

I'd rather play them in the early rounds. You'll have to play them regardless, might as well be when your legs are fresh.

You have to hope the Spurs are on the other side of the bracket one way or another. Hopefully someone pulls the upset (yes, it will be an upset regardless of their seed) or they're beaten up by the time they play us.

On our end, I would LOVE to play the Clips in the first round. If things hold, we'd have home court and we've already shown we have their number this year. I'm also not worried about Portland or Houston even though we laid an egg at their place.

Thunder is Thunder and that would always be a close series with us.

Anxious to see how we match up against Golden State on Tuesday. Contrasting styles, but we've done well against them in the past.

I agree with your statement for sure. Something about the Spurs, who lost last night to the Jazz and right before they played us to the Nets. But when they play us it's like your big brother taunting you.
As for the Warriors, they're playing with house money. The 1st time they have to face a little adversity they'll come back to earth very quickly. I just don't think they have the toughness to last.

Spurs also rest guys while playing others but against us, they don't rest anyone provided there are no injuries of course.

Brevin Knight said something interesting the day after the Spurs game. Spurs wanna make sure that the Grizz never regain the confidence to win against the Spurs. Hence Popovich calls timeouts regularly in the first half when there's a semblance of a Grizz run. It's basically like the big brother like you said trying to keep the little brother down and wants to keep it that way.

I totally see that. Before 2011, we had a terrible record, I believe, against the Spurs, as well as being winless in the playoffs, yet we won against them during that season, then tanked to meet them. We pwned them. They have it in for the Grizz, which reminds me of a Jordan mentality. I reluctantly admire the competitiveness about it, but, man, talk about holding a grudge, hahaha... Hell, they sat dudes against a nationally televised game at the Heat so they could kick our butt in SA lol...

Season's still young.

I would probably get booed for this, but I would make self-deprecating humorous signs for the next Spurs game, lol. I.e. "Pop -- still butthurt after all these years," or "that was three seasons ago... get over it!" 03-razz

As long as we don't play the Spurs, I will take any other scenario. We have zero chance of beating the Spurs in a 7 game series.

We can beat anyone else, including the Thunder and the Warriors.

We just need to hope someone else knocks out the Spurs before we get to them.
