Thats is going to be horrible for whoever pulls that card.
OKC is only 3 1/2 games out of the 8 seed. They're in. We will tank if necessary to avoid them.

Why? So we can play the Spurs?
The thunder will finish either 6 or 7
On another note, great win over our division rivals the Mavs tonight,
Can we play someone in the first road besides the Clips or Thunder?
Listen, this Grizz team is serious, Are you guys really acting scared about who we face in the playoffs!? What kinda mentality is that. No matter what seed we end up getting, the road to the finals will go thru Spurs, Clips, or Okc, or Warriors. Im not scared! Bring it on!
Yeah, it's going to suck.
...

for the Thunder. Imagine having to play so hard just to get in the playoffs. Your reward? The Grizzles. I agree. It would suck to be the Thunder.

The Grizzlies with home court advantage too.
Only team I really worry about is the Spurs. Hopefully another team knocks them out the first round (i.e. the Mavs last year). We haven't faced Golden State yet, but that should be a fun test to see their apparent progression on the defensive front, and our apparent progression offensively. Not worried about them until I see a sample size.

I agree with your statement for sure. Something about the Spurs, who lost last night to the Jazz and right before they played us to the Nets. But when they play us it's like your big brother taunting you.
As for the Warriors, they're playing with house money. The 1st time they have to face a little adversity they'll come back to earth very quickly. I just don't think they have the toughness to last.

Spurs also rest guys while playing others but against us, they don't rest anyone provided there are no injuries of course.

Brevin Knight said something interesting the day after the Spurs game. Spurs wanna make sure that the Grizz never regain the confidence to win against the Spurs. Hence Popovich calls timeouts regularly in the first half when there's a semblance of a Grizz run. It's basically like the big brother like you said trying to keep the little brother down and wants to keep it that way.

The only thing that you can hope for with the Spurs is a bad shooting night. Last night in their loss they made 4-20 3's. When they beat us they made 14-25. If they are hitting 3's at a good percentage coupled with their good defense and other pieces of their offense you are going to have a hard time beating them.
don't see Grizz as 1 or 2 seed

we'll be lucky to go 6-4 in our next ten games - brutal December schedule

I think we have as good a shot as anyone to get the 1 or 2 provided the core guys stay healthy. Even if we go 6-4 over the next 10 games, the Jan and Feb schedules are lighter and we'll win a ton of those games. I think we will get to 60+ wins and have a good shot at one of the top 2 seeds.

So you are saying you are cool with playing the thunder as a 1 seed while the 2 seed gets to sweep Phoenix. That is like saying you get a 1 seed in the NCAA tourney and don't have a problem playing Duke as a 16 in your first round game.

The January schedule isn't bad at all. We have 15 games and could easily be 13-2 in January. We have 2 back to backs. One is in Denver which is probably a loss. The other is against Portland at home after playing Orlando on the road.

at Lakers Jan. 2
at Denver Jan. 3
Knicks Jan. 5
at Atlanta Jan. 7
at New Orleans Jan. 9
Phoenix Jan. 11
at Brooklyn Jan. 14
at Orlando Jan. 16
Portland Jan. 17
Dallas Jan. 19
Toronto Jan. 21
Philadelphia Jan. 24
Orlando Jan. 26
at Dallas Jan. 27
Denver Jan. 29

Sure, NBA bylaws allow the Clips/Thunder OR Spurs.

So we have that going for us.
Here's hoping its Thunder vs Spurs in the first round

You're welcome to interpret it however you want, but I said no such thing. NBA and college seedings are determined entirely differently. I said what I believe. The same thing happened last year with those two teams and the higher seed won because they were better. I think the higher seed would win this year. Your comparison of the college and NBA situation is apples and oranges.
