RE: Senate meeting
If there is no action then we need to start advocating for the sports to be reinstated due to the delayed response. Task forces should have been implemented before today on every single issue. I got doser for my email tonight.

RE: Senate meeting
Hey, I'm okay with that...as long as the team continues as normal until after the task force makes a decision

That's not how it's going to work. The Task Force will be to fix "the process" not to reinstate football. As we go forward you will find that the decision to end football is becoming more and more permanent and the focus taken away from the actual decision and placed on "the process"

RE: Senate meeting
Hopefully the faculty senate will see through the, "I'm sorry, I messed up...will you guys help me fix it so this doesn't happen again." tactic.
He's playing them all for fools and I hope they recognize it. Regardless of their decision with Watts, the process will change, so just go ahead and move to eliminate him.

We've officially lost one coach. Have we lost any players yet? It's hard to imagine to this team can go back normal for the next season.

I'd just be happy to have a next season and to keep Clark. Reversing a decision like this isn't easy.

We need to somehow, at least, get a stay of execution. We can talk full pardon later.

I would wager Clark will not stay now, even if the decision is reversed.

Will the faculty fire the first shot in our war to claim our University as our own?

We will not field a football team as long as Ray L. Watts, MD is president.

Why not?
I understand personal reasons, but if Watts is gone and the decision reversed, I would think that would show support for him and what he's doing in an unbelievable way.
I could actually see, if he stayed, that he would stay longer than if this hadn't happened. He's a man of integrity and every time he spoke with someone about leaving, he would think of this fight and have a tough time.
Plus, after preaching family and getting the kids rallied, if most of the players stayed, and he hasn't already signed a contract with another school...again, he's a man of integrity.

RE: Senate meeting
I think Watts getting fired is pretty high. The decision getting reversed? who knows?
What is likely is that by the time anything actually happens, all coaches and most players will be gone to other schools due to how long this is going to take. We can hope it happens quickly though.

RE: Senate meeting
For those not acquainted with bureaucratic BS here is my translation: /
Okay I'll admit that my decision to assassinate the football program in secret without seeking the input of the involved parties was a mistake - my bad (but how in the heck would I have been able to get away with the murder if I had blabbed to everyone in advance.)
Going forward I am going I am going to set up task force so that you guys can tell me how I should communicate with you and involve you in my less important decisions because I have no idea how to dow that. (However, what's done is done and there is no way I am going let you resuscitate the victim now.)

Probably next to nothing, but I'm clinging to whatever bit of hope I can find at the moment.

Frankie Messina was heroic this morning. That presentation was devastating; it's what is called "lack of institutional control."
