Nichols...
I'm not sure I understand how we are utilizing him... He never posts up and takes a pass on the block, doesn't show any moves facing... and we never run anything to utilize his 12-15' jumper. His only shots are garbage time dunks and under/reverse layups, which against good teams with halfway decent bigs half of those are blocked. I'm not baggin' on Nichols, I just don't get why we don't go to him more and use him more effectively?

RE: Nichols...
because we haven't had guards who could make a post pass since Chris Massie played. Both Nichols and Shaq posted up several times through the game the guards just looked at them (hesitated) until they were fronted. Both Nichols and Shaq are not big enough to hold on to position for long periods of time (they are 4s after all not 5s), but on the plus side they are more mobile and have a longer range. Black on the other hand had to be point blank, of course he rarely got the ball in position either. I know a true post up game is not in these kids eyes, but some coach needs to bust out some old tapes of Chamberlain, McHale or other big old dude who had a post game.

Because they would rather sit at home posting "fire Pastner" threads on a message board than going to a game?

well, I'm not one of them. Took my sons tonight. speaking on the fair weather, people get that way when you are 5 and 20 against top 25 and get blown out in tournaments and lose to cbu and s.f. austin. I can see their side, for myself, I keep going, I love the Tigers.

well, I don't post "fire pastner", I would like a new coach though, I can not lie. But I go to the games, the program is bigger than the coach, especially Josh.

Yes. Yes, it was. I loved the combo play Goodwin/Nichols/Goodwin. You could see the smile on Austin's face afterwards. Nice assist.

RE: Nichols...
They will NEVER let anything go.

Enjoy yourselves...let them wallow....they will NEVER let it go. Win the next five over ranked opponents, they will NEVER not remind you the overall record is still sub par.

It is depressing, sad for them...hurts the team...and sabotages what used to be a fun addition to going to the games by adding reasonable, sometimes negative but still constructive discussions.

They have issues...well beyond the time honored geez I am just discussing you much think things are perfect bs that gets way too tolerated.

They are also incredibly immature.

Such it is.

Watch the responses to this post if you want proof.

We look forward now to the next game...which to the indulged thugs means we think things are fantastic all the time and are fully satisfied being good but short if Sweet Sixteen and elite level good. Because it could not possibly be that we see any possible differing bigger picture...or are not mean to college kids and the like.

But, after. Thug posts like a thug, if we reference them acting like. Thug, then we are at least clearly thuggish enough to them.

See you folks Saturday. Come on down and have some fun. It will help the team, he'll the crowd, and help heading forward. Or...stay home and clean your diapers.

Yep

Dude is clueless when it comes to bigs. He preaches “We will play Inside out” and when the guards don’t do it, he allows them to continue. No coach I played for would ever stand for that. Ain’t rocket science and our Kings did the same thing last year.

Go inside out or go to the bench is what should be happening…Period.

Can't wait until the end of the year when we're clamoring how our big win over Bradley should get us a top 4 seed. In the nit.

yes I agree he is a sunshine pumper, but at the same time he isn't as positive as he makes out to be. he constantly takes shots at Tiger fans, real crappy if you ask me. How positive are you when you are always taking shots at fellow Tiger fans, throwing out insults, ect.??
