Wow, this whole video tells me he wants to build up young men to be just that...good men! This coach is knows what's important. I hope we can keep him, and I hope we as Tigers continue to support what he has started! Go

The stark contrast in this press conference and one given by JP is incredible. If I heard something like that coming after a basketball game, I wouldn't be nearly as discouraged as I am now about the direction of the roundball program. That was amazing.

That last statement about the Seniors being successful in life gave me a little chill.
What parent would not want their son to play for him?
We are lucky.

Why does every thread have to have someone try to start a debate about the differences/contrasts between Fuente and Pastner?

How about we just all agree that Fuente has done an incredible job, is a wonderful man who represents our program with class and dignity and that we are all hopeful that he and his entire staff continue to be with us for a long, long, time?

I am certain that Coach Fuente does not want to be used as a pawn in the debate about whether or not Josh is doing a good job as our basketball coach. To bring his name into this discussion is disrespectful to him and I am sure it would make him uncomfortable were he to be aware of it.

I made an observation. You are certainly entitled to disagree with it. However, you have no idea the reason or motive for my post. Don't try to read my mind. You're wrong with your accusation.

Not trying to read your mind. I just read your post and commented on the fact that you were comparing Coach Fuente and Coach Pastner. I don't know how else to interpret the content.

You could have started and stopped at " that was amazing." I know you love our BB but this was Tiger FB's One Shining Moment.

The guy has damn near worked miracles with this program. What a great job by Fuente, the players and everyone else involved. I hope we can keep this train rolling for years to come.

Sure I could have. It just wouldn't have expressed my entire thought on the matter.

RE: Justin Fuente- Post Game Press Conference.
Exactly a year ago after the beatdown by UCONN, many on here said that Fuente didn't have it in him to turn the program around, that he had personal beef with players and was throwing some kids under the bus, that it was tiresome seeing only scant improvement than the Larry Porter years. Thankfully he proved many around here wrong and many more know that he does care for the kids

A friend's kid was recruited by our coaching staff and ultimately committed to LSU. After he was called and told good luck and if he changed his mind he had a home in Memphis. He and his parents were so impressed by that and really liked the coaching staff. He was still on the fence I believe until they got an in home visit by Miles.
