RE: bowl projections
Can you at least admit that your p5 ooc was not o n the same level as memphis's. Not trying to start a useless pissing contest with you but my point is valid and accurate though.

MWC is like AAC. Strong at the top:Boise, Air Force, Colorado St, Utah St and weak at the bottom, unlv, Hawaii New Mexico San Jose st
AAC: ECU, Cinci, Memphis, UCF, Houston--strong.
SMU, Tulsa, Tulane, UCONN, USF--bad
It doesn't help that we didn't have more head to head match ups. UCONN lost at home to Boise and Houston won at home to UNLV. We had a horrible OOC this season. I say "we" but ECU got 2 out of the whopping 3 whole OOC P5 wins for the league. I'm happy for Memphis, you guys had a great year but lets not act like you beat everyone OOC like you could have, or didn't skip the top 2 teams in the league. The OOC portion of the Schedule was a huge flop for everyone but ECU this year, only Temple didn't lay an egg with their W over Vandy. I don't wanna take away from your year at all but describing your peers as "weak ass"?? Pretty cocky already huh?
I like you billy... But I can't let you get away with this "the MWC is equal to the AAC" nonsense.
The AAC has 6/SIX solid football programs in Memphis, Cincinnati, Houston, UCF, ECU, Temple and perhaps 7 next year with Tulane/UConn... SMU has a very nice football history and won't be down for long.
The MWC in the other hand, not even close but Boise and perhaps two others.

Temple still has to beat Tulane to get bowl eligible.

Both should be easy to admit.

I don't know - I think MWC on top is pretty strong with Boise st, Colorado st, afa, Utah st. Boise st victory over utah st is no different then Memphis beating cincy- sometimes it happens with in top teams. If we had beaten UCLA or Mississippi- this would be a non topic. At this point, I belive Boise st is top G5 team. They still have one more game left so AAC may still have a shot - you never know SDSU may pull off an upset.

RE: bowl projections
For everyone that says memphis had an easy conference schedule chew on this. Houston ,cincy, ecu, ucf were the top 4 teams in the preseason right, ok now if memphis played 2 of those 4 then how again did we have it so easy? I think the majority of teams played some combo of 2 of the 4, am I wrong? Uh missed ecu and ucf and so on and so on right. Im sure some team my have drawn all 4 or maybe only 1 of the 4 but I would like to be proven wrong

The only team in the top half of the conference that played everyone is Temple. Did we get lucky? It's a two way argument. I could ask the question did ECU and UCF get lucky by not playing us. Either way, we all played who the league had us play and nothing will change the argument for either side of the coin. I think we all wish Navy was in the conference this year and that we have a actual Championship game.

What we all can agree on is that Boise is the top team right now and Marshall sucks.

Oh good grief, some of you guys try to cherry pick to bellyache. Here is a big whoopin dose of reality:
Memphis has already played 3of the top 5 teams in the conference not named Memphis.
UCF has only played 2 of the top 5 not named UCF and will play the third this week. UCF hasn't played as many top teams as Memphis has yet.
The same goes for ECU, only two top 5 teams not named ECU. And you guys have already lost two games.
Cinci has played 3, and will play a 4th. Cincinnati is really the only team that can talk about the schedule. The two teams doing most of the bitching about Memphis has played fewer of the top teams than Memphis has already played, and one of you have lost more games already.

Memphis has played Cincy and Houston. 1+1=2
Cincy has played Memphis, ECU, Houston 1+1+1=3.
Not sure if you completely made stuff up, or just can't add.

and if anybody wants to talk schedules... USF played ALL 5 of the top of this conference, along with #14 Wisconsin, and 7-5 Maryland and NC State. Wasnt exactly the easiest schedule this year.

Memphis played one top 4 team. Cincy and ECU played 2.
Either there are top 3 - cincy, UCF, Memphis (teams that can be co-champs) or top 5 including Houston and ECU - including teams in 2nd place. No top 4.
Of the top 3, Cincy and Memphis played each other and UCF missed out on both.
Of the top 5
Memphis played 2 and ECU will play 2, I believe cincy will play 3, UCF has 2 and Houston has 3 but probably has the toughest playing the top 3 teams. If I were to rank the schedules for top 5, I would have
1. Houston ( played 3 of top 3)
2a cincy (played 3 of top 5)
2b ecu (played 2 of top 5 but both top 3)
4 Memphis (played 2 of top 5 but 1 of top 3)
5 UCF (played 2 of top 5)
I am probably one of few Memphis fans that is not ashamed to admit that I am ok missing out on UCF and ecu. We could have won those games or we could have lost but I rather see a championship regardless of how we have gotten it - for at least once. If we are winning championships on a regular basis then yes I want it against the best but since this is our first in my lifetime - I don't give a s$&t if we have the weakest schedule in the conference to get there. :-)
