I'm not home right now but go to rpiforecast.com and click on RPI wizard for ODU and input WKU, La Tech and UTEP and change all of those to wins. I'd imagine it would be in the mid 20's.

I think the matchup is compelling enough for TV and media that we may get it if we get in regardless.

oh man, yeah. plus, stith's son even though he rarely plays.

I think one thing some of you aren't considering is how truly awful the bubble is this year. It's as bad as I ever remember it being in the last decade or so.

It isn't that odu's resume is great (ooc was good, in conference play has been thoroughly mediocre), but good and mediocre still puts us ahead of a lot of other teams who are on the bubble.

For instance, joe lunardi has Tulsa in. Look at tulsa's ooc schedule. It's horrendous. Not sure they won a single top 100 game ooc.

Odu is most definitely still on the bubble because of how bad the other bubble teams are.

Oregon is another team that's supposedly "in" right now. They have terrible ooc wins, they lost to ole miss and they lost their only two chances at Arizona this year. They have zero top 50 rpi wins. We have two.

If we win out in the regular season and make the conference semi's or final, we have a chance.

Our big hurdle is that we most likely will have to overcome the stigma of finishing 4th in CUSA.

The official party line is that conference standings don't really matter. I, like most of you, think it could be a potential barrier, because humans are making the decisions. However, technically, they are supposed to consider the totality of the season and not where you finish in your conference.

Didn't VCU finish 4th in the CAA in 2011?

Very soft bubble this year, ODU was still listed in the bubble watch on ESPN.com going into the weekend and was Lunardi's 10th team out before the W yesterday. Winning out in the regular season puts them in a very good position, especially if LA Tech gets the top 50 RPI rank along with LSU.

I swear, here we go again! Barely over 24 hours ago most posters were hating on Jones, the team and saying this team might not win another game. Going from consensus "we stink" to "8/9 seed" is crazy! We've got to get some equilibrium back.

I think last night's play was better than we've played for an entire game this year. BUT we still have two road games, one of which is coached by what some posters here swear is the best coach anyone hired in the last two years!

I hope we can win out and have the talent to do it. But, you never know till the games are played.
