Is it possible to secure all of the 7 win + teams and then leverage the relationship with Bahamas?

Yes, but it is undeserving.

We finished 2-4 in the second half of the season and I would say the first half was the tougher half of the season. We Cooged it.

We have a better team than our results are showing, and there is a lot of apathy within our program right now. It's obvious when you look at our attendance. There is no fire there. A lot of frustration within the fan base.

I feel sorry for the players. They deserve better than they are getting from the coaching staff. I don't know what the problem is, but I have a feeling we have some coaches that are a little too fat and happy. Stockstill probably does more recruiting than any head coach in the nation, but I'm not sure they are being coached up to the maximum. We have a die hard fan base that is ready for changes. And it wouldn't hurt my feelings if they completely cleaned house and brought in all new position coaches and coordinators.

There was a contingent of MT fans out in the desert. They were about 30, but were vocal and passionate.

It was one of those games, where it was unfortunate someone had to lose. Both teams played tough. We had no answer for MT's athletic QB.

RE: UTEP versus MTSU
There's no reason why MT can't go bowling and no, you're definitely a good team and would probably beat whomever you play. The cards were on UTEP's side even after we giftwrapped your first TD. Grammer was giving me fits with his running. I'm surprised our QB actually did a rather good job of running it too and it's about time. I hope you guys do go bowling you deserve it.

Irving the guy who intercepted the bowl in the end said that he'd rather go to the NM Bowl and that is surprising. I would think that they all would want to go to Hawai'i for a well deserved vacation all expenses paid.

Goooooooo Minerrrrrrss.

Totally agree...I thought the team who had the ball last would win...great game to watch from the stands...I thought both came to play. The difference was a an incredible tip and interception by one athletic dude.

Great game! Miners found a way to win, MT and that QB really scared the heck out of me! He is a great runner! Hope MT makes a bowl, but I want UAB to get the nod... lol

RE: UTEP versus MTSU
UTEP played a marvelous game and capitalized well of MT's mistakes. I am very excited to see the Miners do well and - hopefully - win a bowl game.

I am ready to see Coach Stockstill's replacement list. After yet another disappointment, I think the majority of MT fans feel like I do - there can be no more second chances, when he's had so many years to fix the program and bring us into the future. His time is short. If we make a bowl, he should be fired soon after. If we don't, then as soon as the bowls start.

Thank goodness for basketball season. Pass the scotch.

Very close and hard fought game. I don't remember when I've seen teams play so even. The stats were almost identical. MT had 2 more yards of offense and UTEP had 1 more first down. Here's hoping MT and UAB can land in bowls.

If the miners win their bowl game, it will be in my opinion the best season of my lifetime.

I wouldn't go that far. We have a good team that has underperformed.

But thanks for the comment nonetheless.

IMO, the UTEP game is such a good indication of just how little we have progressed in the past year and how much UTEP has.

I believe it was 48-17 last year and the game last season was never in any doubt from the first quarter on.

We obviously see how much UTEP improved. Our team regressed this year. We're going in the wrong direction. We have very good football players. A lot of committed and hard working young men. They deserve better than what they are getting from this coaching staff. We have some serious problems within the coaching circle.

While I'm not completely ready to fire Stockstill; somebody has to go! If it's the Offensive Coordinator with that Vanilla pausing Offense more the better. If Stockstill is not fired (and he won't be with that automatic renewable contract thru 2020); he has to allow the next Offensive Coordinator to call his own plays! Stock's too conservative for my book and always plays scared! He also needs to fire either Steve Ellis or Tommy West to light a fire under the remaining Def. Coordinator. If that doesn't work fire Tyrone Nix as well.

Lightning, I don't think it's regressed it's just that the Miners have improved 100% from last year. There's a huge difference from last years team to this one.
