Were they sitting all of their starters in anticipation of the championship game???

Didn't even see one play of the game, but I wouldn't read one bit into this result. BG was playing for absolutely nothing today.

Neither was Ball State.

Ball State was playing for it's senior class and for the returnees to keep their jobs for 15.

As much as I would like to say that game was a preview of the MAC Championship game, I can not, since BGSU had their spot in Detroit already lined up. I would imagine they were playing to avoid injuries, and rested some of their starters, against a Ball State team wanting to finish their season on a high note.

I am reminded of 2006, when a CMU team that had already clinched their spot in the MAC Championship came to DeKalb and got crushed 31-10 by the Huskies. Did that spell trouble for CMU in the Championship game? Hardly. They beat Ohio 31-10.

The Huskies will not be playing the same team that Ball State played.

I don't know why anyone would assume any MAC Championship game would be an easy win for us. Have you all not seen every MAC Championship games since 2005 that we have participated in? We've been favored in all of them yet each one of them has been a battle and we've lost three of the five. We are 2-3 in MAC Championship games. That's not good at all.

No kidding. And we were only a couple plays from 0-5.

BGSU has really been suffering lately. Their O has sucked, although their D has gotten better. BSU, when they get in rhythm, can score -- they're in a rebuilding year. Not the biggest shocker. BGSU has really sucked. Watching the dilapidated Toledo team play them the other week made me realize how bad BGSU really is. The whole MAC East is bad. BGSU just started out strong in the early part of the year.
