Fan ball award
Starting something new.. Who should get this weeks games fan ball..
I give the fan ball to DT Lee. At the end he maned up and was in thier face.
On a side note he also needed his pants pulled up.. But that is why I noticed him on the plays.
Felt a bit bad for their qb when his 300 pounds rumbled on him, that's gotta hurt some.
Great game Lee.

I give it to Hare. After a miserable first half he really pulled his pants up and got to work.

I like it, keep this going.
I think this was a team and program victory. With a gun to my head I'll too go with William Lee. Our interior line play has been a very unsung position for us so Lee coming up with some big plays is good enough for me.

It's hard to pick a single individual in any game. Lee deserves it, so do Smalls, Folliard, Rock, and a bunch of others.

Lee gets my vote.
He absolutely took over the 4th quarter.
And yes, from the student GA side, we saw a little TOO MUCH of Lee several times....

RE: Fan ball award
I would say either Lee or Lemon. Lee took over in the 4th quarter, but Roc had some big plays all game.
If lemon isn't an all conference selection, probably 1st team I'll be a little surprised. He is good in every facet of the game.

RE: Fan ball award
It sounds like the plan is after each game; great idea!
The whole defense sounds good. If only 1 player than I am also with William Lee, although Lemon and others are deserving.
I had to LOL at PJ getting the award! The going for it on 4th and 1 was a turning point, as was the decision to go completely conservative way too early. After that WMU had no offensive rhythm. Would the result have been different if WMU got the 3 points? That is the "what if" and we will never know. I just know that stop on 4th and 1 changed the whole game. I see that PJ was justifying the decision and saying how he would do it again. Sounds like coach speak as he was talking about the decision being for momentum. It sure was; the momentum shifted to NIU big time, Again, thanks PJ for letting us back into the game and kudos to our guys for making the most if it!

+1 on Lee. There were a lot of player who deserve it. In this game, Lee was the breakout player.

Lee was unblockable in the 4th quarter. He was beating double teams, just throwing people around. Pretty exciting to watch when you consider he'll be a Huskie for three more years!

While I was at the game, my dvr got swapped with one from a parallel universe, where PJ had different facial hair and he kicked the field goal on fourth down instead of going for it*. I just viewed the game from the point of PJ taking the field goal instead of going for it. NIU just gained the momentum on their next drive, and ended up in the endzone all the same. The final score was Huskies 34 WMU 24 (Hagan's FG attempt did not hit the left upright in the parallel universe game).
*Refer to Star Trek episode Mirror, Mirror.

Funny thing about all of this "Carey showed the haters!!" is that the 1st half still exists. They win despite him quite often.
The defense won that game in the 2nd half yesterday.
