In my opinion, you might be wrong. Most that I know and interact with are realists and know that maybe the money is not there for a buyout right now.

If he is truly the great guy all his now limited supporters believe he is shouldn't he recognize is inability to coach this team and resign and take his millions back to Arizona or Houston? Just a thought.

Strat, don't bother discussing realists and money not being available. These folks want Pastner's head on a pike.

Wasn't there a previous coach that amassed a gaudy record with primarily "dormant CUSA wins"? But only after Pitino and Huggins moved out of CUSA?

Are you too really that foolish to think the money men would get themselves into a contract they couldn't exit easily without feeling pain??

Haha, well ok then.

First of all, having the program gutted the way it was, and making the NCAA tournament 4 out of 5 years is a minor miracle. People like you that think like this are completely 100% clueless in every sense of the word.

Second, hardcore fans by definition are fans that support the program through thick and thin. They don't define their fandom solely based on results. Savannah State has hardcore fans even though they are usually one of the worst teams in the country.

Basically, every single thing you said in your post is the opposite of the truth. I expect you to have a less than 1% chance of comprehending any of this.

Right on Stammers. Can't add anything to that.

Comparing Paz and Cal in the same version of CUSA is a joke. Not even comparable.

Cal in post Louisville, Cincy, etc CUSA.....Elite 8, Elite 8, National Championship Game, Sweet 16.

4 year tourney record 13-4

Paz in the exact same version of CUSA....Never got out of the 2nd round in 5 years.

5 year tourney record 2-4....and oh yeah 1-1 in the NIT.

It only takes a small bit of common sense to avoid such ridiculous comparisons.

True. Is that the number? Everyone seems to have different figures and wide ranges.

Bingo, you said it. Standing ovation.

No bingo. He won't be at either the liberty bowl or the forum. That comment is for someone who attends all if the games in both sports not someone from afar.

I still stand behind this statement. If you care for the impending future of Tiger Basketball there is no way you can support CJP any longer. If you aren't infuriated by these continual letdowns there is no way you are a hard core supporter of Tiger athletics or these players.

The hardcore fan that doesn't know when we play, doesn't care when we play, and doesn't care that we won. Sounds about right.

Hardcore fans support the PROGRAM no matter who the coach is. When fans show up even during the low moments it can only have positive results. Having an empty arena for games makes everyone look bad and is detrimental to recruiting and the play on the court. If you want to make a statement then go to the games, cheer for the team to win, and boo Pastner. Or write a letter to Bowen. Message board complaints do nothing! I'm sure you aren't a season ticket holder so it isn't an option for you to not renew them. Are you going to the bowl game? You're probably a UT football fan too.

Idk, when the tomb of doom became the tomb of gloom back in 97 I was among those hardcore fans that boycotted games. When there were literally only 4k in the stadium. Are you saying that there were only 4k hardcore fans then?

Don't get me wrong here, I think the OP is an idiot, but if I choose to boycott games or not support a coach, it doesn't mean I'm a bad fan. It means that our visions just don't align. I respect the hell outta folks that can endure through that though. Now in 97 we made a horrible hire based off fears that we all know exist in memphis. Rather than get the best candidate at the time that was willing to come to memphis, (ric majerus, tim Floyd, mike Anderson) we went to little known UofN.O. & didn't vett the hire one iota and hired with our fear & not our brains.

Over the last 40 years, when the right hire is made we all see what this program can do. Gene Bartow, Dana Kirk, Healthy Larry Finch, Cal.
