Tough loss for Liberty. I know they don't much love here, and I'm not surprised with how some posters act.

We had a season for the ages but hopefully it's a step in the right direction. We've got the support and now we took some baby steps to turn that support into results. I know we still have a long way to go and hope to someday get into FBS. I'd be thrilled to get into the Sun Belt and hope they call our number sooner rather than later but it's a long shot.

Worst game all year. All around. No excuses just wasnt our team.
Worst attendance all year also. I believe it has something to do with the likelihood of rain and the sec championship game.

I have a question for App st. And ga southern folks: does the quality of referees go up with a move?

Better than SOCON officials. Those officials were bad today.

So frustrating. Questionable play calling at the end. Blew it big time.

RE: OT: SBC Targets in FCS Playoffs
To Nova's defense...they are landlocked there and don't have a lot of room to build a separate track and/or football stadium. As for the reservations of Liberty to the SBC, our controversial law school dean, who I fully admit made a nasty habit of making the headlines at rightwingwatch.org, did "resign" to "pursue other options" and a national search is under way for a new dean. As our president is a UVA law grad, look for us to land a legitimate law school dean who WILL NOT get caught up in homosexual rights issues in Uganda and so forth.

Neat - we took a caravan of 23 buses to the Nova game with 600+ students - http://instagram.com/p/wRHFwvjul-/ - probably had more fans in a 38 degree monsoon on the Main Line than EKU had at their home game.

that may be the biggest reason to move up.

Not having to play at places like Elon and Samford is a plus too. I hated going to games in stadiums that seat about 7500 people.

I can't see winning in the FCS playoffs getting rid if the reservations that Liberty brings.

Agreed, though I'm less against them than I was.

The refs are better in the SunBelt than FCS- just slightly- but replay is the biggest difference, although as any GS fan will tell you, it isn't foolproof.
