I'll bet you money that we have less than 14 losses going into the AAC tournament.
Nope not gonna bet on it.. This to me is worse case scenario (prediction).. But best case I would say 9 losses..

Hard not to laugh when someone who is consistently negative, comes up with a prediction based on a worst case scenario. Weird to say the least.
Stammers for you to call someone weird is really hilarious to say the least.. I've always been consistent on this board.. I've always said without question that I don't think CJP is a good Coach and nothing has ever changed that thinking.. I've said on here many of times I really like the guy.. There is nothing he does outside of Coaching to not like.. For you to laugh at what someone predicts or for that matter what someone post as being negative is laughable.. You attack and have always attacked people on here for as long as I've been on this board (8yrs or so).. You are the most Bi-Polar poster on this board..You actually do post some reasonable thought out stuff on here but most of the time all you do is demean others and to me that's as negative as it gets.. I've never been banned either so whats that tell ya!!

I glossed over what you posted. It just seems weird that a fan would base a prediction on a worst case scenario. I've never heard of that before, but like I said; you are consistent.

I'm with you. There's so many different ways this season could play out.
If you look at the number by the name from the recruiting classes it appears that we have enough talent to be really good.
If you look at every time this version of the Tigers has taken the court so far you could think we'd be really bad.
The truth is, unfortunately, somewhere in the middle which would lead to something less than 20 wins going into the AAC tournament.

Yep, that's about right....and JP keeps his job. We go 21-10 the next year with NIT bid for 2nd year & JP keeps his job. We go 23-8 the next year with NCAA bid & JP keeps his job. That will be the pattern & JP keeps his job for several more years.
Just to add a note, as the FB program continues to have success, it helps JP keep his job. Makes for a tough reality.

RE: Win/Loss Prediction in BBall
Anyone who is predicting fewer that 20 wins--that means 12+ losses--PLEASE tell me where those losses will come.
That would be losing ALL of these games:
WSU
Baylor
OSU (home)
Gonzaga
SMU (home)
SMU
UConn (home)
UConn
Cinci
Cinci (home)
...plus at least two more.
Does anyone REALLY see this happening?

We lost to CBU and it really wasn't an upset. Any team on our schedule might have a better backcourt. Do you consider SFA a lock win? Any American road game is not a given either.

Possibles: At least one other road conference game, no Las Vegas wins or possible home OOC loss - lots of possibles if we don't get a pt guard who can avoid TOs & can feed the bigs.

The CBU had to be an aberration. Remember, Syracuse lost to Lemoyne College and went on to the NCAA's.
Seriously, though, two first team all-AAC and Nick King is more talent than any other team minus the above listed teams. SFA lost to Northern Iowa and plays Baylor monday night...so use that as a gauge.
The above scenario also imagines Memphis losing all four of those games at home.
As for CUSA
ECU has already lost to UNC Asheville, Tulane was hammered by Wake, SMU can't win without Kennedy and Tulsa went down to Oral.

RE: Win/Loss Prediction in BBall
What's gonna happen is that a certain function of this board (if Memphis actually does go 18-13 ish) will just note that coach is stuck with a bunch of garbage and it isn't his fault. IF Memphis pops for 23-8 and a couple of wins over the above, it's that coach is a genius and he has exceeded expectations even though two weeks ago many of those same people were postulating that this group could be better than last year's team.

Probably not. But they lost to CBU, and looked like they didn't know what a basketball was against Wichita State. So I can't categorically exclude it.
