That only proves that he was shot at close range. Not that he attacked the officer.

How'd he get in the car and how did his fingerprints get on the gun Trollboy?

Attacking an officer and trying to take his gun are two separate issues.

I doubt that.. I know with your karate experience you might think it's not, but I'm sure if someone goes for my side arm, there's a struggle. Someone is not going to walk gingerly up to someone and casually grab the pistol.

I work in a school that used to have an officer on duty. He frequently talked about how kids would try and take his gun as a joke. Never did he ever mention that it was an attack.

So now Mike Brown was joking with Officer Wilson.. Well dang, maybe you need to hop a foot up to Ferguson and testify as to what Mike Brown was thinking.

Both are acts of violence that warrant self defense from Wilson. Why are you so determined that Brown is innocent when all evidence points the other direction? Do you still think OJ is innocent?

I've never said that Brown was innocent or that Wilson was guilty.

I'm simply pointing out that attempting to take someone's gun and physically attacking someone are different things.

Fit, just stop. Seriously, stop. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY is going to walk up to a freaking policeman and joke about taking his gun. ESPECIALLY not a 6'4" thug that just finished robbing a store and knows there is about to be potential trouble. Damn dude, what world do you live in? FFS, just stop!

No not really man. I mean, what would YOU do if someone reached for your weapon? Seriously, what would you do and what would be your first thought?

Ever seen an episode of Cops where an assailant joked about reaching for the cop's gun?

I'm serious. The cop at our school said it was the biggest problem he had with students. They think it's funny to try and touch his gun. Granted, he made it a point to explain in his presentations that kids should never ever do that. He never considered it an attack however. Just something a kid should never ever do.

You need to understand that I used to teach cops self defense at a martial arts school.

The two actions and how you go about it are worlds apart.

And it's a whole different experience when its a criminal doing it.

So your school doesn't limit the hiring of fools to just teachers then.

Nope.. it's not.

I'd have to go find the story I read, but it falls in the same criminal category.

It may carry the same criminal charge but the actions are totally different. You either do one or the other. It cannot happen at the same time. It's physically impossible.

It's impossible to assault an officer and take his gun at the same time?

I think after running the scenarios in my head.. He's got us in the wording.. You have to assault first then grab the gun.

If he slips and falls when he starts chasing you. But of course, that'd all be a joke.

If you assault an officer, he is going to reach for his gun and shoot you. If you reach for his gun, they have enough self defense skills to subdue you. Trust me. We have tested it. Cops usually get the upper hand if you attempt to assault them and then go for their gun. Cops are most vulnerable when you simply go for their gun.
