Hey HHandCheese, not kissing your ring or any other part of your anatomy because you're trying to make yourself look more important than you are on this board. Like Newbill, I'll thank Bourne (and King) if we get a home game in the 1st Round and maybe President Alger when he acts like more than a stuffed suit. Sure not a Dr. Carrier or even can't believe I'm saying a Linwood Rose.

Well, it's good to see you took your colossal DB pill this afternoon!

Why the personal attack over something as innocuous as suggesting folks send a word of kind encouragement to keep up the good work and an atta-boy for what's transpired so far? Geeeeez, people.

What is it with the two posters with the UVA in the moniker? Go back to boo-hooville if a thread about thank you's bothers you this much. Plenty to b!tch about football-wise over there. hahhahahha.

lol. Calling out people for personal attacks and then personally attacking people "people with the UVA moniker, go back to boo-hooville" that you disagree with. You admin. apologists are all the same. Why don't go get back in your hot tub with Bourne and Alger. Their a$$es need to be kissed some more.

lolololol...

No, calling people out for being insufferable DB's in a simple thread suggesting people spend a moment being positive. What's the possible harm there? Don't you and your "click" spend enough time trolling the JMU boards as it is? If you DON'T want to send an e-mail or leave a quick voice mail saying "thanks, nice job on a fine season so far", then guess what? Don't. Leave it at that. No need to further pollute an otherwise innocuous threads with the same boring crap we've ALL heard 4000 times already.

And why you're giggling yourself silly over your hottub fantasies, why don't you point out some of this Admin apologist stuff? Find me a comment or thread where I have been an apologist. Bet you can't. I will look to find positives in most any situation, just the way I go about things. The self-loathing JMU "sports fan" thing was boring to have to listen to 20+ years ago and is only more tiresome now. If you don't like it, go watch Uva "football", Lord knows that failure London needs the support. 07-coffee3

RE: Thank You E-Mails & Texts to Alger, Bourne and Withers
Is this the correct email for Jeff Bourne?
moshiemj@jmu.edu

Seems like it is his assistant's email address probably.

Does anyone have a direct email address for him? I just wanted to write him a short email regarding the Stony Brook game/tailgate that he attended.

Thanks in advance...

I think people should hold off thanking him until after the bid (if we get in the playoffs).

Thanks guys for making this happen for JMU. The 2nd fighting Christians we will be facing in back to back weeks. For those that don't know, Elon used to be the fighting Christians. I don't get the Flames as a name since fire is associated with the Hell fire and Brimstone. I will be playing some songs off the Charred Walls of the Damned album all week long.

The student body made the choice for Liberty in 1974 when they choose the Flames over several other choices. The decision was based upon the school’s motto, “Knowledge Aflame.” Throughout the many changes LU has seen in the past 40 years, Flames remained as the nickname for Liberty’s athletics teams.

In 1980, the Eagle was designated as the new Flames mascot, due to its patriotic symbolism and connection with the school name, Liberty. It was designed with the Flames’ nickname in mind. Thus, the flaming torch clutched in the Eagle’s left talon was included with the original mascot renderings.

I just shot Jeff Bourne an email thanking him for leading the way for our athletic department to put in a strong bid so we could host a playoff game. Give credit where credit is due.

See you all Saturday!

Go Dukes!!!

Heck, I am in total disbelief and yes, very appreciative. I will be purchasing my four seats and maybe a couple more. When they stick their neck out, I am will to do my part.

They stuck it way, way out. Anyone know how the bidding works for subsequent rounds? Once you make a large first round bid, can you bid lower than than first round bid or does the first round bid act as a floor and all other subsequent bids have to exceed the first round number?

One tangible way to thank the admin would be to add a couple of GA tickets to your ticket order - to be donated to a local group. If you haven't clicked your "order tickets" link yet, you'll see what I'm talking about when you do. JMU is really gonna have to hustle to try and fill up BFS and this will help.

Only 12 bucks. That's a good deal. The dumb high school football playoffs cost that much.

Ha. Yeah, the playoffs always seem dumber after your team loses. Good luck Friday!
